If there was one thing Vechs liked, it was showering at others' houses.
It started one day in grade school. Vechs had been invited to a sleepover with Chad and some other children from school to celebrate the last day. Eating cake, he dumped his plate on himself by accident and had to take a shower.
He soaped down, rinsed, and toweled off, confused when Zisteau asked why he smelled like flowers. That's when Vechs realized he had used Chad's mother's soap.
Everyone had a big laugh about it, Chad and Z still teasing him about it to this day.
So a prime opportunity arose when he and Aurey got a bit muddy when they were building.
Vechs flung some of the large clots of mud off of his body and turned to Aurey, who had the dirt mashed into her hair and on her face.
"...Do you mind if I take a quick shower?" he asked.
Aurey answered. "Sure! There should be a towel in the bathroom."
Vechs let himself in and wandered upstairs to the bathroom. He carefully peeled his muddy clothes off and put them in the plastic bag(which so happened to be sitting next to the sink), turning the water to a warm setting before climbing in.
He stood under the warm water for a minute or two, letting it wash away all the grime. Then Vechs grabbed a washcloth and pulled out the first soap bottle he saw.
Which just so happened to be scented.
He lathered himself in Marshmallow Strawberry Rose and finished his shower.
As it turned out, Aurey had to go down to FarmTown. Apparently, Sevadus had built a giant hamburger bun and she needed to sort that out.
Later that day, Vechs proudly walked to the town hall. Guude had called a meeting, and he sat down right in the middle of the front row.
Guude began the meeting with a flourish.
"Vechs, why the hell do you smell like that?"
