*I changed a few things, check it out!!!*

Sorry I haven't updated in forever guys. It's my birthday on Saturday (as in tomorrow, well... For me at least). And I've been really excited about it! Well, I hope you enjoy!

Asonia walked around the gardens, Fareilah and Dr. Brocklyn at her side. Ever since Zaclyn was attacked, she hadn't been allowed to go anywhere alone. And it was important now more than ever, considering her due date was coming closer and closer.

She stopped at a big, pink flower. It reminded her of a hibiscus. The pink petals were soft, and it smelled beautiful.

"Fareilah, what's this flower called?"

"That's a Jolk, they're very hard to come by nowadays."

"Hmm." Asonia began to hum as she walked, thinking about the Enterprise. They'd been caught up helping the crew of the Cailo. The rescue took longer than expected, but at least everyone was okay.

Pavel had received word that they were on their way though, and that they should be here by sundown.

They women continued walking, occasionally making small talk. Asonia hated not being in charge. She was used to being in the loop and making decisions.

But she also agreed with their reasoning. She had been distracted a lot lately, and the stress would just be too much. Not to mention the assassin was still on the loose.

Luckily Zaclyn pulled through, and was well enough to return to work. But it still bothered everyone that he was attacked. The man who did it obviously didn't want to be found. It was as if he never existed at all.

"Say, why don't we go get something to eat?" Asonia asked.

"Sure thing empress. But no sweets for you." Dr. Brocklyn answered.

"Come on.... Please? I'm seriously craving some pudding."

"Sorry Asonia. But you've used up your sugar allotment for the week." She said, and both Fareilah and Asonia sighed.

They walked to the kitchens in silence, each deep in thought. There was always something to think about nowadays.

Asonia got her food, and sat down at a table. The others did the same. Together, they ate in silence.

Jim Kirk was anxious, to say the least. He hadn't seen Asonia in forever, and he'd just found out she was pregnant. It was a huge surprise to him.

He wondered how that kid was going to be. Pavel had told him it was a girl. Maybe she'd look just like Pavel. Maybe Asonia.

No one would know until she was born.

But Jim wasn't the only one nervous. Dr. McCoy was pretty anxious as well. He and the empress were always close. He reminded her of the man that raised her, and she reminded him of his own daughter.

Joanna was somewhere on earth with her mother. McCoy hadn't seen her for a good six years. But he still loved her, none the less.

"So, what do think Asonia is going to look like?" Jim asked.

"What you mean? She's going to look like a pregnant woman."

"That's not what I meant. I meant what kind of pregnant woman. Will she look like a mother ready, will she seem like she has no idea what's going on?"

"The thoughts that go on in your head make me question your sanity." Bones grumbled. Running his hands through his dark hair.

The Enterprise had just finished a rescue mission for the crew of the Cailo. A mission that took way longer than expected.

Luckily no one was hurt. But boy, were they mad. They'd lost another shipment to Vulcan. Now, most people on Zindaki spoke modern day English. But that doesn't mean they don't have their own language.

Let's just say that the cuss words were very creative in that language.

Finally, after what felt like forever, the planet Zindaki came up on the viewer screen.

"Uhura, hail the Zindakians. Let them know we've arrived."

"Yes captain."

"They're here! They're here!!!!" Asonia said, overly excited. Fareilah laughed at her, as they waited for their friends to beam down.

For now, only the captain, Bones, and Spock were visiting, along with the crew of the Cailo.

Finally, the yellow lights appeared, and in almost no time, the three gentlemen appeared.

"Captain Kirk!"

"Empress." Jim replied, bowing respectfully. Asonia nodded as the other two did the same.

"Look at you, have you gained weight?" Bones joked, hugging her.

"Maybe a little. But not much. I've just, you know, have a tiny person growing inside me."

"Yes, you do."

For hours they talked. Glad to be in the presence of the other. For the first time, Asonia felt confident in herself.

And Pavel felt happy as well. Because he'd been right. The counsel doubted him, and he'd been right.

Everyone was content at the moment. But it wouldn't last very long. Little did they know, in the morning, everything would change.

Sorry for the short (and probably sucky) update. But I figured you guys wanted to read.

And I'm tired.

Well, I hope you liked it!
