Mallika's POV
He is very very quiet these days. I looked at him as he stared out of the window. He was looking at a couple of birds playing within themselves.
He was not smiling. I don't remember when I heard him laugh last time.
I think he wants to go out. Let me ask him.
I went to him and sat beside him. He stiffened.
Mallika: Babyboy.
Sumedh: Hmm.
He still didn't look at me.
Mallika: Bahar chaloge mere saath?
He was quiet for some moments before speaking.
Sumedh: Agar maine haa bola to kya tum maarogi aur mujhpar ilzaam laogaogi ki bhaagne ki koshish kar raha tha?
I froze. I cupped his face.
Mallika: Baby tumse aisa kisne kaha?
Sumedh: Kisi ne nahi.
Mallika: Fir tum aisa kyu bol rahe ho?
Sumedh: Kya ye sach nahi hai? Kya tum mere saath aisa nahi karogi?
He asked in a small voice. I felt my heart breaking. Why does he think like that?
Mallika: Nahi karungi.
Sumedh: Pakka?
Mallika: Pakka.
Sumedh: Theek hai fir. Mai chalunga.
I kissed his forehead and hugged him.
Mallika's POV Over

Next Day
She took him to the park to let him taste a little freedom.
He sat on a far away bench. He was overthinking again. Kids were playing nearby. They saw him sitting lonely and surrounded him.
Sumedh: Kya hua baccho?
Kid: Bhaiya aap udaas kyu ho?
Kid: Aapki mummy ne aapko daanta?
Kid: Aap naraaz mat ho please. Aap to itne pyaare ho.
A smile came on his face listening to them but there was still sadness in his eyes.
Sumedh: Nahi bacche aisi koi baat nahi hai. Aap log khelo.
