Fay Davet lost her husband shortly after giving birth to their son, Lucas. His name was Benjamin Davet. He had been a herbologist. He had only left because he had gotten a distressing floo call from someone they had believed to be their family and friend. It had been a trap. Her husband went into the greenhouse belonging to their "friend" and was eaten by a carnivorous plant.

A few hours later they told Fay that he had left after taking care of the problem. She reported his disappearance to the aurors. They would have gotten away with it if they hadn't let slip they had taken care of a problem that stopped them from getting a contract with the hospital to secure potion ingredients and now the contract was theirs.

The aurors had searched their home but the plant had already been removed. The blood had been cleaned up. That was why they weren't suspects. After the comment they made they looked back into them. They found out about the carnivorous plant they had ordered. Under questioning they broke and admitted everything. They were sent to Carcassonne Souterraine, a French wizarding prison for life.

The person who had done it was actually Benjamin's brother, Bernard. He had always been jealous of his younger brother. He hid it well and no one would have ever guessed that he would have killed Benjamin. Their parents disowned him and named Lucas the heir. Bernard's wife divorced him. She married another and had two kids. Fay and her didn't really talk after Bernard was arrested.

Fay raised her child with her parents and her in-laws. She wished he had a portrait done so Lucas could have talked to him but he hadn't gotten around to making one. The child still grew up hearing about the man. That was how he became interested in herbology.

After he started school she went back to her job as a curse breaker. Luckily she worked with Goblins and showed them respect. They allowed her to be flexible with her work when needed, especially in the summer. After her baby graduated from school and started his apprenticeship she returned to work full time.

She tried not to rely on her parents and in-laws too much. They still helped even when she politely refused. Sadly her parents had died after contracting the dragon pox when Lucas was 15. Her in-laws died two years later. They had been targeted by dark wizards. They succumbed to their injuries after killing three and injuring one.

Then one day her son sent a letter. She soon met the sweetest, cutest child ever. That boy became her son. She enjoyed raising another child. Even when he added Neville into the mix. She became the grandma to Nick and Alex's children. She loved to spoil them. Vasuki and her spent hours learning about ancient cultures and lazing in the sun. Celeste and her went on girls trips and volunteered at animal shelters. Celine and her could cook for hours and discover muggle movies and tv shows.

She became a grandma to Severus's kids. They all enjoyed spending time with her. She enjoyed it as well. Eventually she became grandma to her own grandkids. She truly enjoyed it. She spoiled those babies rotten. They were her world.

Eventually she retired and she had Bill take over. She would have tea with Augusta and watch the children. Being able to have great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren practically sent her to the moon with joy. She lived until she died of old age. Her portrait was placed in the living room. Everyone visited her daily.

Augusta Longbottom never expected how her life had turned out. She had an arranged marriage with Frank Longbottom sr. He did everything he could to woo her. He eventually succeeded. At first she had disliked the troublesome prankster. She was glad she had fallen for him though. No one wanted a loveless marriage.

The man still pulled pranks on his wife. She acted like she hated it but she actually loved it. His goofy side was adorable. They had a wonderful son that they named Frank. He took more after Augusta but he had a mischievous side he had gotten from his father. They both decided to not arrange a marriage for their son. They were worried it would end up loveless.

During his years at Hogwarts he met Alice Mellow. He fell hard for the girl. Augusta and her husband liked her. Eventually Frank jr proposed to her and she said yes. After Hogwarts they got married and both became aurors. It made Augusta worried but proud. They soon had a baby boy that they named Neville. He was such a sweet and happy baby.

Then the dark lord had people attack them. Her grandson was left alone in his crib. Her poor son and daughter-in-law were tortured to insanity. It still made her cry at night. The hospital had no idea how to reverse the effects of the curse. For years they studied and researched but came up empty. Augusta and her husband raised Neville.

The tragedy struck again. Her dear husband had gotten sick. It was so bad that no healer could do much but make him comfortable. Nevile had only been four. He didn't remember much about the man when he was alive but the portrait was there for him. The grief, though, had almost made Augusta blind to how the others of their family began treating Neville.

The woman had been beside herself with anger when she walked into her brother-in-law hanging her grandson out of a window. He was getting ready to drop him. The reason was to get his magic to respond. She could have killed the man herself. The others had agreed with him and so that was the last time they had been allowed to see Neville.

Her old friend Fay contacted her. They had met when Augusta and her family went on vacation. She was fifteen and Fay was eight. The eight year old Fay had come running into the wizarding bazaar. She began screaming at the vendor that Augusta was at. It turned out the man was distracting her and her parents while a magical octopus picked their pockets. Fay saw this and put a stop to it. They were very grateful. Fay took them back to her parents.

They contacted the police. After that day the two girls became friends. They stayed in touch for years. Then Fay contacted her with disturbing news. She quickly went to her and that was when Augusta and Neville met Harry Potter, the boy-who-lived. He also was a neko. That had been a surprise.

The older woman had been very pissed off when she learned that her daughter-in-law's godson had been abused. He would have died if it wasn't for the mate bond between him and Lucas. It made her really hate the muggles. That boy was so sweet and kind. He even brought her grandson out of his shell. He soon came into a Fairy inheritance. She didn't mind and was proud of him.

Harry then goes and gets a plant that can help restore the sanity in her son and daughter-in-law. She would forever be grateful to the boy. Soon even more disturbing news was learned. Her dislike and hatred for Albus Dumbledore increased.

Their family tried to worm their way back into their lives but Frank shut that down. He was utterly pissed off by their treatment of Neville. He shut them down and cut ties with them. He made sure they knew they weren't getting any money or heirlooms from the Longbottom estate.

He took over as lord Longbottom. He wanted his mom to finally enjoy retirement. She did until Voldemort became a problem. She had been relieved when was finally dead.

Augusta had been sad when Frank and Alice decided not to have more kids. Luckily there were plenty of children around her so she wasn't too lonely. Neville even fulfilled her wish of having more than one. Unfortunately just after they had their final child she passed away from old age.

Luckily she had a portrait. All the children visited her. Actually everyone visited her. She brought wisdom and advice to all those that asked. She felt she had fulfilled her life's purpose.
