When I got to Chris' apartment I knocked on the door and he pulled me inside and in a tight embrace.
"Mmm, what are you doing?" I said. His shoulder muffled my voice and I was not sure where to put my hands, he let me go and looked into my eyes.
"Where did you do?"
"I thought we had school today"
"On a Saturday?"
"Yea, but Mr. Tanner told me we didn't and he took me out for breakfast" I smiled like a little kid.
"So you ate?"
"Yea, and I ate half of it." I walked away from him and took off my jacket, placing it on the chair and then sitting on the couch "And do you know what he said to me?"
"What?"
"He showed me a picture of my dad and mom in California, on the beach, my mom and dad hate each other. And what really gets me is that they didn't take me with them. Why they would just leave me here."
He didn't say anything, so I picked up my phone and called my dad.

Hey baby, you're still alive!
Yes I'm alive but I'm going to be dead soon. And why are you in California with mom?
I had to get away from all the drama
What about me? You're just gonna leave me here for dead?
No, I'm coming back, but I just can't see you.
So I'm alone, through this whole thing I'm alone?
Yea, I'm sorry. I'll leave you money for clothes and stuff but, I can't be there with you.

I hang up the phone and feel like crying, he did this to me, he left me here on purpose. So they could get me. Then I heard a knock on a door outside. I ran over to the door and looked through the peephole. Police officers. They were knocking on my door.
"Police open up!" I heard them yell. They knocked again. But no answer cause I don't live there anymore. Then they opened the door. I saw Mr. Tanner. He walked in my house and looked around, his face was laced with shock. He put his hand over his mouth, "I knew something was wrong" he said to one of the police officers. "Is there a way you can get in touch with her?" He asked "Uh yea" he pulled out his phone and pressed a button. Then my phone rang, I saw them all turn there heads to Chris' door, I fumble to get my phone out of my pocket and ignore the call.
I looked through the peephole again and Tanner said "That's my other student, Chris" he walkeup to the door and knocked on it. I stepped away from the door, Chris walked out of his room and asked me "Who is it?" I put my finger to my mouth and whispered in his ear. "Tell him you never saw saw anything and don't let them search the house. They need warrant" I stepped behind the door and he opened it halfway, "Hey Mr. Tanner, what's going on?"
"I'm looking for Kellita something wrong, have you seen or heard anything?"
"No I haven't but if I do i'll let you know"
"Good, cause I found this letter and is said "once I find you you're dead" so please help her if you see her. And let me know"
"Sure" Chris nodded and closed the door.
I rested my head on the wall, and held my closed my eyes.
"Kellita" I heard Chris say. "What note?"
I shook my head, my eyes still closed. "I didn't know there was a note" I felt tears sting my eyes. I sat my head up and I notice Chris was walking toward me. I looked into his eyes, and took a deep breath. "I have to leave" I whispered, he shook his head "Why?" He asked
"It dangerous for you to be with me, they will kill you"
"No they won't it will be ok"
"I can't risk it, I can't risk it, I can't risk you getting hurt"
"Well, when will you leave?"
"As soon as I talk to Tanner, I can't have him on my back. He could be killed to, I don't want that"
