The Regection of Kellita Morris

First day back

"Kellita, I can take you"
"I'd rather walk"
"We will get there quicker if I drive"
"I need to get in shape so I'm walking and I'm taking Monte I said as I pulled my jeans on. I put on my Adidas jacket and shoes I got from Andie. I know I shouldn't be wearing it but these are cute clothes and I don't have a lot of nice things. I grab my book back and my phone from the charger and begin toward the door. "Shit" I whispered to myself. I forgot Monte. I walk into Montes room and pull him off the bed, I quickly get him dressed get his things and make a small lunch for him. I put his things in his book bag and pick him up.

I walk into the classroom and everyone looks at me already seated. I don't say anything, I just walk to my seat and rest Monte in my lap. I sit there and listen to everything Mr. Tanner says, taking notes and falling asleep.

All day was slows and lo g and tiring. Monte is pretty funny we talked and he told me so jokes. I gave him all my lunch and he gobbled it so fast, I had to tell him to slow down. Overall it was fun having someone around to talk to.

School was over and Chris took Monte home. I had to stay back because Tanner wanted to talk to me. I walk into his classroom and he looks at me.
"Hey Kellita"
"Hey, Tanner"
"I've got a lot of things to say to you" I shrugged at him. "Take a seat" I sighed and walked over to a chair.
"What?"
"A lot has happened in the last couple of months, and I know about your father being gone. I'm sorry that all of that has happened to you so I want to help you" I didn't say anything. "I went to the court and asked for a social worker to help with our case."
"What case?" I asked.
"I want to adopt you"
"What" I was shocked. "Adopt me? You adopt puppies. You can't adopt people"
"Yes I can and I want to"
"Well I don't want to be adopted"
"You have no choice. You're father and mother are nowhere to be found"
"Well, I'm already living with someone"
"Oh yea, who?"
"My boyfriend"
"What's his name?"
"Chris"
