Hiccup's POV

"Woohoo! Yeah!" I screamed as Toothless and I flew through the sky. It has been a few months since Drago Bludvistt's attack on Berk, the damages from the battle was were finally fixed and life on Berk was back to the way it was. Even though dad is gone, I still have mom by my side. She has taught me so much about dragons. Being chief is so tiring that Toothless and I would sneak away to goof off.

As Toothless and I flew over ocean, watching the sunrise, I laid down on Toothless' back and closed my eyes.

"Having fun, Hiccup?" "Gah! Oh, it's you, mom." I sat up from the shock, looked to my left and smiled as mom stood on Cloudjumper, laughing.

"We should go back now, son. We have a guest waiting." She said looking serious now. "Who is it?" I asked. "The chief of Ira. Our closest partner in trade." I nodded and we flew back to Berk. I wonder what brings him to Berk. He hasn't been her for here for several years.

When we arrived at The Great Hall, I opened the door to see Gobber taking to a tall, muscular man while the rest of the council sat at the table. He saw me and said, "Well, the lad is back!" he gestured towards me and the man turned around and smiled.

I walked up to him and stuck out my right hand, "welcome to Berk. I'm Hiccup, the chief." He took my hand and said, "thank you, Hiccup. I'm Leif, chief of Ira." We let go of each other then I asked, "So, what brings you here?" he took a deep breath and said, "My mother has passed. She was killed by raiders." Everyone gasped. "Before passing, she had one request..." he trailed off as he looked on the ground. I understand the pain he was going through, I too have lost someone special to me. "What did she request for, dear?" she asked as she put her hand on Leif's shoulder. He looked at mom and said, "She wants us to move to Berk." The room went silent, no one knew what to say.

"You are welcome to live here." Everyone looked at mom, they were shocked. "Valka, how are we going to help them? Their village is two time larger than ours." "After the raid, very few survived. Only about 20 families." He said. The room fell silent again. Mom looked at me giving me the 'say something' look. I sighed and said, "We should be able to accommodate that number." Spitelout, Snotlout's dad, was about to protest but I raised my hand and said, "That's final. Shall we discuss the plans?" Leif shook my hand and said, "thank you, Hiccup." I just smiled and gestured for him to sit at the table.

"So, we have a week to finish the homes. That should be enough time." I said and the council members nodded. "Ok. So, we're done. Let's start work tomorrow." "Thank you again, Hiccup." Leif said as we walked out of The Great Hall. I put my hand on his shoulder and said, "You're welcome. I know you would do the same for us." he smiled and whistled, a stormcutter came flying towards us. "Whoa! You guys have dragons too?" "Not everyone though." He said as he pet his dragon's head. He got on his dragon and was ready to fly when he said, "I'll make it up to you. I have something that you might be interested in." I smiled, "Well, I look forward to it." He bowed his head and flew off.

When I went back into The Great Hall, Spitelout was really angry. "Why did you let them stay here? We don't have enough food to feed more people." I shook my head and said, "Their tribe is very influential. If we didn't let them stay, they might live with another tribe and wage war against us." Spitelout was about to retort but he stopped himself and left. Everyone else followed suit.

"Well done, son." Mom said as she hugged me.

"thanks." I whispered as I hugged her back.
