Chapter 6

Hiccup POV

I was talking to the gang when Gobber ran, or wobble, over to us and said while panting, "Hiccup! I saw their boat reaching the dock." "Ok, everyone. Let's give them a warm welcome." I said. As I put my hands on my hips, I felt a pair of arms wrap around my arm. I turned to see Astrid. I smiled and gave her a kiss on her forehead. She giggled and said, "You ready, babe?" "Ready as I'll ever be." Everyone started to gather to the centre.

When they came up from the dock, Leif stood in the front of the crowd with two other guys by his side. "Welcome to Berk!" I greeted them as I walked forward to shake his hand. He smiled and took my hand, "Thank you, Hiccup for taking us in. I would like you to meet my family." I nodded and shook their hands as Leif introduced them.

"This is Alvis, the second eldest and the wisest. This is Brant, the second youngest and a great fighter. And our youngest and only sister, (y/n). Wait, where is she?" We looked around and then there was a voice that was like beautiful music, "I'm here, Leif. Sorry I was lost in thought." A girl with beautiful (h/l) (h/c) hair, which flew gently in the breeze, walked out from the crowd. Everyone gasped. She was beautiful! Like a goddess. Her (e/c) eyes glistened as she looked around. Then, her eyes landed on me and we made eye contact. She walked up to me, stuck out her hand and said, "Nice to meet you. I'm (y/n)." "Y-yeah. I-I'm Hiccup." Smooth, Hiccup, smooth.

As I was about to hold her hand, I felt Astrid pull my arm and she spoke, "Hi! I'm Astrid, his girlfriend."

(y/n) POV

When we landed on Berk, I felt butterflies in my stomach. I looked up from the dock to see that people were gathering in the middle. I sighed and Moonbeam pushed me. I laughed and said, "Ok, ok! I'm going." As we walked up all these questions start to pop up in my head. Why did mom want us to move here? What if they don't like me? What if they treat me like a monster? I had stopped in my tracks and didn't realising they were looking for me. I was shocked back to reality when Moonbeam nudged my arm with her head. I looked at her then to the crowd, I could see Leif looking around. I walked over and said, "I'm here, Leif. Sorry I was lost in thought."

I heard gasps but I just ignored it. Leif looked at me with worried eyes and I just smiled. I looked around and Berk looked similar to Ira. Then, my eyes landed on a guy in black and brown armour with greenest pair of eyes. He's really handsome and my heart started to race. I walked towards him, stuck out my hand and said, "Nice to meet you. I'm (y/n)." "Y-yeah. I-I'm Hiccup." He stuttered. I held back a giggle and just smiled at him.

As he was about to hold my hand, a girl pulled his arm and she spoke, "Hi! I'm Astrid, his girlfriend." I felt my heart shatter. I retracted my hand and smiled at her. "I got dibs!" I heard the guy in black fur say. He started walking towards me and I took a step back. When he stopped in front of me he introduced himself, "Snoutlout Jorgenson, the brave hero of Berk." He took my hand and was about to kiss it when a hand grabbed my arm and pulled me up. I looked up and I was in Alvis' arms as he looked at Snotlout and growled. I looked at Snotlout, he was terrified because there were two swords pointed at him. It was Leif and Brant. After a moment of silence, my brothers said in unison, "Don't. Touch. Our sister." Snotlout nodded and ran towards his dragon. A monstrous nightmare.

Hiccup's POV

Everyone is becoming tense. I cleared my throat, removed my arm from Astrid's grasp and said, "Ok. Shall my mother and I show you to your new homes?" Leif looked at me then nodded. We were about to leave when Astrid held on to me. Again. I turned around and said, "Astrid, go home. I need to take care of them." She was about to protest but I looked at her with my 'listen to me' look. She groaned and climbed on Stormfly and flew off.

I turned back to see (y/n) left behind with a white dragon. It looks like Toothless. As I walked closer the more it looks like a night fury.

"You have a night fury?!?" I said, way to excitedly. (y/n) jumped a little and looked at me, "Yup! Her name is Moonbeam." She said as she smile while petting her dragon. She is so pretty. I shook my head at the thought. Hiccup, get a hold of yourself! You have a girlfriend. I whistled and Toothless came jumping to my side. Toothless looked at the other night fury then looked at me. He was excited, he walked over to (y/n). She giggled and pet Toothless, he seemed to like it. I wish I was him. What? I away from them and started to have a fight with myself then I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked behind me to find my eyes meet (y/n)'s. "what's his name?" she asked and pointed at Toothless. "His name is Toothless." I said and she smiled.

"You guys are the same age. Just like moonbeam and I." she said as she walked towards where the others were. I followed her then asked, "How did you know?" "It's a secret." She winked and put a finger on her lips. Our dragons were behind us and pouncing on each other. We laughed and looked at each other and started to talk about our dragons.

(y/n) and I were having lots of fun talking about random stuff. Then I saw Leif and mom talking outside the house we made for the four of them. When they noticed us, they gestured for us to go closer to them.

"Hiccup, can we meet up with you and your council? I want to talk about the trade I made with you." Leif said.

"Sure." I said and got on Toothless, who was still playing with Moonbeam. "We'll meet at The Great Hall in 10 minutes?" Leif nodded and mom came over to Toothless and got on. I looked at (y/n) and smiled. She smiled and waved. Then we flew up into the sky.

(y/n) POV

While I waved to them as they flew away, I asked Leif, "this is going to be about my powers, isn't it?" he looked at me and nodded. I sighed, I was afraid of what will happen after this. Leif pulled me into a hug and pat my head, "it's going to be ok. We Alvis, Brant and I will be there to protect you if anything goes wrong."

"Group hug!" I heard Brant say from behind us. I looked at the door to see Brant and Alvis running over. Soon I enveloped in their embrace. "Enough! We need to go!" I laughed. They groaned but still let me go. We got on our dragons and flew towards The Great Hall.

(Hey, guys! Sorry for not updating for so long. I was on vacation overseas and the wi-fi at my hotel wasn't free so I couldn't update. But I'm back now so I will try to update more.)
