Chapter 9

Previously on Love Me For Me...

Hiccup's POV

"OK! Fishlegs will give you a tour of the place." Astrid said as she pushed Fishlegs in front of (y/n). I was shocked and so was Fishlegs. I was about to protest when Astrid said, "Hiccup and I need to patrol the village to see if anyone needs help. So, bye!" as Astrid forcefully tried to push me out, my eyes met with everyone. They pretended to not see, unbelievable! Then, my eyes met with (y/n) pair of bright (e/c) eyes. Then (y/n) said, "Astrid, you shouldn't force him to leave with you."

Everyone gasped. I felt Astrid stop pushing and let go of me. I turned around to see Astrid looking down at (y/n). (Astrid is taller than you) Then, Astrid grabbed her axe and swung it at (y/n).

"Ahhhhh!" Astrid screamed as she charged towards (y/n).

As Astrid charged towards (y/n), swinging her axe angrily, (y/n) dodged it swiftly. Bending backwards like she was playing limbo. Astrid's axe struck the wooden doors that were used to hold the dragons. As (y/n) stood back up, she pulled out two retractable swords from her sleeves.

(y/n) POV

I looked at Astrid as she tried to pull her axe out of the door, "I don't want to fight you, Astrid. I don't want to cause a commotion." I see the burning anger in her eyes, she really hates me. When Astrid got her axe out of the door, she came charging towards me again. I stood my ground and shielded myself from her attack with my swords. The loud clashing of my swords and her axe has started to attract attention from the villagers, The different tribes rooting for their own.

This is getting out of hand, I thought to myself. I used more force and Astrid's axe flew up and landed on the ground behind her. Astrid stumbled onto the ground, now my swords crossed around her neck. "I said I don't want to fight you." The villagers of Berk were shocked and so was Hiccup.

I removed the swords from her neck and walked towards Moonbeam, "let's go, girl." She nodded and we flew out of the academy.

Hiccup's POV

I couldn't believe my eyes, someone actually beat Astrid in hand-to-hand combat. When I saw (y/n) fly out the academy with Moonbeam, my body seemed to move on its own. I jumped onto Toothless and we were off chasing after (y/n) and Moonbeam. I'm sorry, Astrid.

(y/n) POV

As Moonbeam and I flew across the sky, I knew we weren't alone. There is only one pair that can catch up to our speed. "Go away, Hiccup," I said not looking backing. "C'mon, (y/n). Let's talk about what happened just now. What you did was...Amazing! I've never se-" "I said go AWAYYYY!!!!" All of a sudden a huge wind blasted at Hiccup and Toothless sending them plummeting down into the ocean. "NOOOO!!" Moonbeam and I flew towards the area where they landed. "Go find Toothless, I'll find Hiccup." I told Moonbeam as I jumped into the water. Where are you, Hiccup? Then I saw a blurred figure, I squinted my eyes and screamed, in my head, "Hiccup!" I swam towards him, he was unconscious. I put his arm around my shoulder and used all my might to swim us up to the surface.

When we finally reached the surface, we both coughed and taking in as much air as possible but Hiccup was still unconscious but alive. I looked around and saw Moonbeam with Toothless on an island, safe and sound. I heaved a sigh of relief and swam up to shore. I lay Hiccup down on the ground as I checked his breathing and his pulse, Toothless came up to me and nudged my arm, looking at me with worried eyes. I looked at him, giving him a small smile as I pet him, "he's going to be fine," I assured him. When I had regained my energy, I put Hiccup onto Toothless' back, with help from Moonbeam, we moved in deeper into the forest to find shelter and food. I looked at the unconscious Hiccup as we walked, then I touched his face gently and whispered, "Wake up soon, ok?"

Hiccup's POV (unconscious)

My body felt like a log, I couldn't move or see but I can hear. Then, I felt a soft and gentle hand caress my face. "Wake up soon, ok?" a sweet, angelic voice whispered to me, it must belong to the owner of this hand. I wanted to reply, I wanted to open my eyes to look at her but my body wouldn't allow it. My consciousness slowly faded into black.
