Hiccup's POV
Everyone was now in The Great Hall, except Leif. Then the doors swung open, Leif walked in along with his three siblings. "Where are you council members?" I asked. He smiled and pointed to them, "They are part of the council. Alvis is in charge of the people's well-being, Brant is in charge of peace with other tribes as well as battles. And (y/n), she is in charge of agriculture."
"Well, then. Shall we begin?" I asked as I gestured for them to sit. They nodded and sat down except for Leif. He looked around and said, "We know that Berk has limited resources. As thanks for allowing us to live here, we would like to offer our secret to plentiful harvests as trade."
The council started to murmur, curious to know their secret. "Should we agree to this trade?" I said as I looked around. They looked at each other, then nodded. I smiled and looked at Leif, gesturing for him to continue.
He smiled and started to speak again. "Do you know the story about the protectors of earth? The ones who controls the elements of the earth?" everyone nodded. "But, how do you know if a person is a protector?" Leif asked. Everyone fell silent and started to recall the ancient story. "A birthmark in the exact shape of a leaf..." mom whispered. Leif looked at her and smiled, "correct."
"What are you saying, Leif? That's just a myth." Spitelout said in annoyance. He turned to look at Spitelout but didn't answer but gestured to (y/n). She stood up and pulled her sleeve up. Everyone gasped. On her shoulder was a mark that looked exactly like a leaf. "Impossible..." I whispered as I stood up and walked over to (y/n). I touched the mark thinking that it was just a drawing, but it did not come off. "It's real..." I breathed as I looked at her. She gave me a weak smile, put both her fist in front of me Then she opened her hand, four things where floating on her hand. Earth, fire, water and air.
We stare in awe, we couldn't believe our eyes. The legend was real. "Wait, but how did she get her powers?" I asked. "From our mom." (y/n) said. She took my hands and looked into my eyes, "don't be afraid of me. I won't hurt anyone." I could see the genuine sincerity in her eyes and in her voice. I pat her hands and Leif said, "Our people know of her powers, now you have to tell yours." I nodded and said, "They definitely won't be afraid."
At the end of the meeting, everyone else has left and only (y/n) and I were left. We stayed silent as we sat on the steps outside of The Great Hall. "So... are you free tomorrow?" she looked at me and laughed. "I'm always free." "Do you want to join us at the Dragon Academy?" I asked. She smiled widely and said, "Sure! Seems fun!"
(y/n) whistled and Moonbeam came running towards us, so did Toothless. Our dragons started licking us and we shouted in unison, "stop! You know that doesn't wash out!" (y/n) and I looked at each other and laughed.
(y/n) wiped of the slobber and climbed on to Moonbeam, "see you tomorrow, Hiccup." "Yeah, see you." I said and waved goodbye to her, then they flew off.
(Sorry again for the short chapter. I'm having writer's block. please look forward to the next chapter though. )
