Chapter 6-Surprise dinner and movie

I'm so happy! Over the past couple of weeks Kyle and Charlotte have gotten really close and I totally ship it! Charlotte's going to his tonight actually. It will be interesting to see if they are just friends after tonight. Riley and I have been fighting a little recently but I think he's just getting a lot of shit from his mum about me *sigh* I feel bad but I really love him and don't want to lose him just because his mum doesn't like me. He yelled at me yesterday, I've never seen him that angry but he'd had a really horrible day and just snapped I guess. Oh well I'm sure we'll sort everything out.

Fuck. I think Emily is upset with me. She has every right to be though, I yelled yesterday, badly. I pinned her down and screamed at her, I can't remember what I said or what it was even about, I think she might have left her straightener on? I don't know but I'd had the worst day, mum had gone off at me again and dad came over, again I'm sick of being my mum's protector when she can't even accept my relationship! I hope Emily will forgive me. I love her so much, I can't lose her too.

I can't do this anymore. I don't want to be here and I can't pretend any longer. My tears fall onto the paper as I'm writing. I'm sorry. Please don't think any of this is your fault, no matter who is reading this. It's not your fault, It's mine. I don't understand anything anymore this is the only thing I could think of to do. I'm sorry but I don't have anything left to live for. That last part isn't true I have something to live for. She doesn't feel the same though. Why is love so confusing, I called it love, I've never done that I think as I step onto the chair and put the rope around my neck and then I hear a voice calling me. It sounds like Charlotte, she's saying my name over and over I step closer to the edge of the chair with my note stapled to my chest and... I see her. She screams and runs to me, she holds me and now I know she's real, she's actually here but she's seen me at my worst. She's crying now but she just holds me. I close my eyes and the next thing I know I'm awake in my bed and my room is clean.

I decided to surprise Kyle after school, Emily gave me his address and I knew he would be home alone so I got pizza and a movie and went over there. I don't know if that's weird or not? I've only known him for a couple of weeks but we're in year 12 it's fine. Charlotte you're fine. Stop freaking out it's just a friendly dinner and movie surprise. That sounds weird. Movie and dinner surprise. There's a better word for it but Kyle and I are just friends. I'm at his door, I don't want to go in. I have to. *sigh* okay let's do it. I knock on the door and no-one answers but as I knock the door swings open. Weird. Is he expecting me? Did Emily say something? I walk in and I can't see him. Or any sign of him really. I call out but he doesn't answer. Shit, maybe he's been robbed, or kidnapped or murdered? Nah I'm just being silly, even still I can't hear water running so he's probably not in the shower. I walk upstairs and find his room. I can't believe what I'm seeing. I walk in and Kyle is standing on a chair with tears streaming down his face. WITH A FUCKING ROPE AROUND HIS NECK!!! I just, WHAT THE HECK! I don't understand I mean I knew he was bullied but I didn't know he was suicidal! I can't even think straight. I snap out of it and help him down before he does something irreversible. I get him down and I'm crying hysterically by this point so I just hold him. He falls asleep in my arms and I just sit there for a while and play with his hair and just look at him, taking him in, not in a creepy way, I just take in every detail of his face, every imperfection and count his freckles (he only has like 20) I realize that if he wakes up and I'm staring at him he'll probably think I'm a freak so I decide to help him into bed and clean up his room. This is going to be a long night...
