~~~HUSSAIN's POV~~~
I stretched my arms as the late afternoon sun slapped against my face. Staying in the bus and sitting almost still for more than two hours isn't fun. They spent so long while looking for Madiha and I that there was no time left for a break.
All the students ran past me, giving me hi-fives as the got off the bus and collected their luggage. After the principal's long thank you speech to all the parent helpers, we were finally allowed to leave.
I walked over to my car that Faisal had sent and the driver opened the back seat. He first handed me my blazer and I wore it over my white t-shirt.
"Aap kaheen jaa rahe hein?" Madiha asked behind me and I turned to her. "Hum. Hum jaa rahe hein. I have to check up on my house's progress."
She shook her head and stepped away, "then you should go, I'll go home.... It's already quite late."
"Offo. It's only going to take us 15 minutes, I promise," I insisted, "and Faisal will be there too."
She gave it a quick thought before agreeing. I held the back door for her and she sat inside. Giving her a smile, I went to the other side but, didn't miss out on how she rolled her eyes at me. Honestly, she looks cute when she is tries to look annoyed.
I sat behind the driver's seat and once our luggage was loaded, we drove off.
~~~MADIHA's POV~~~

My hands felt sweaty. No actually, they felt numb. I could feel them getting colder as we neared the housing complex. I have been here before. I have lived here before. I grew up here.

It's not a place where extremely rich people would live but, you had to have a pretty heavy bank balance to be able to afford it; something that we were able to do once.

As the car stopped, Hussain hopped out and I nervously reached for the door's handle. So many memories flashed in front of my eyes and it took everything in me to hold myself together.

Each and every house looked pretty much the same here but, three of them had a completely different story. Faisal Bhai's, abba's and-

"Madiha!" I heard Hussain's voice and I instantly turned to him.

He stood by an old man. He had a short grey beard just around his chin area and a partially bald scalp. I had seen him in the newspaper once and I guess he was the person managing the renovation here.

I silently followed Hussain towards the house that stayed empty almost all my childhood. A few years ago, I remember a man stayed there for a couple of weeks but, he seemed quite scary for a fifteen year old me.

I was greeted by the smell of fresh paint and glue like they had just fitted in the new marble flooring. While Hussain kept walking with three other men, I chose to step back and look behind me. I remembered these houses very well and each and every person's name who lived in here.

"Stop it!"

"I said come here right now! I swear I won't talk to you"

"Iqra Api dekhein na isse."

"I'll tell Ami if you two don't stop right now!"

In her attempt of climbing over the wooden bench, her foot strangled between the two wooden bars. I watched her fall as a scream escaped from my lips and I grasped on to the iron bar in front of me.
