~~~MADIHA's POV~~~
I walked along the wet grass, making sure to walk straight with my heels digging right into the soft soil. It wasn't raining last night so I wondered what made it soft. Even right now, the sun was just above the horizon but, it was quite warm; no sign of clouds or cold weather.
The leaves of the trees, danced, flaunting their crisp golden colour as I walked in, deeper and deeper. I finally reached my destination and stop at the edge of a fine marble block. The morning breeze blew the fabric of my hijab as I stared down at her.
"Good Morning, Azzuu! How are you?" I smiled with blurry eyes as I greeted my best friend, who slept six feet under the ground, "yaar, aaj bhi baat nahi karegi?"
I looked over at Kasim who sat just above his own grave. he waved at me and I forced a smile.
"You are here to wake her up at seven. You know how lazy she is, right?" He defended his sister, "keep trying.. Uth jaayegi."
"Nahi uthegi. she is angry. Mujhe pata hai," I looked away.
"Nope," Kasim replied, "she told me yesterday that she still loves you."
"T-toh baat... baat kyu nahi karti?" I asked him as warm tears pooled up in my eyes.
"Look who is here Azzuu!" a voice startled me and I quickly wiped my eyes, "Madiha aayi hai. Aaj suraj kahaan se nikla hai Bhai?"
"Isse kaho jahan se roz nikalta hai," Kasim rolled his eyes and I looked at Faisal Bhai.
"Asalamualaikum Faisal Bhai," I greeted him and he smiled. "Walaikumaslam to the two most beautiful ladies.... after my mom and Ateefa chachi."
I giggled at his words and he snatched the fresh flowers out of my hand, "Look yaar Aziza, double- double flowers haan."
"Mere liye nahi layi?" Kasim pouted at me and I chuckled. Of course laayi hoon.
I walked past Faisal Bhai and kept the flowers on both the graves. Kasim smiled at me like always but Aziza- she never does.
"Main chalti hoon," I whispered to Faisal Bhai but he held my wrist. "No, just five minutes. Then I'll drop you to school."
"No, I am already late. Main chalti hoon," I protested but, he didn't listen like always. "Nahi na, Bus will take longer. Ruk jao."
I sighed and stood behind him while he took his time. Woh aaj bhi use itna pyaar karte hein. Kaash woh aaj hamare beech hoti yeh dekhne ke liye ki woh kitni lucky hai.
"Chalo," Faisal Bhai stood up and gestured me to walk. We walked out of the cemetery and I heaved a sigh of relief. Every time I see her, I feel suffocated because of the guilt that builds up inside me.
"So, Chacha told me you are getting the house back?" He asked and I nodded. "Thanks to Hussain. I don't know how he made it happen."
"Hmm, quite a bright boy," he smiled, glancing at me, "Abhi bhi meri choice pe doubt hai?"
"Nahi," I shook my head and smiled, "he is probably the best paying guest ever. I found a trustworthy friend in him. Thanks for sending him Faisal Bhai."
"Pleasure is all mine," He jerked his collar and I chuckled. Just then, we reached his car and he opened the door for me. I sat inside and he jogged over to his side.
"So what's your plan now?" he asked as he started the engine. "Plan?" I frowned at him and he slowly nodded.
"Well, I have two classes this morning, then I need to supervise a class test for another teacher and then-"
