Hmm, I wonder if I should wear jeans or a skirt first day back at school. I want to look nice, but casual. I was looking through my wardrobe when I heard music playing really loudly. I sighed and walked over to my window. "Ben, turn the music down already! " I screamed to Ben, my neighbour. He looked at me and smiled. I never noticed how brown his eyes were. It matched his hair. His jawline was so defined god he was pretty perfect. "Sorry Kayla. Wouldn't want to keep the princess awake, after all its like 10:30 right?" He said sarcastically, with a laugh afterwards.
"Yeah thanks" I said, walking away from my window, sticking my middle finger up in the process.
He was right, I wanted to get am early night. Off to bed for me. I got into bed and turned out the light. I couldn't stop thinking about tomorrow. I always get nervous before I go back to school, even though year 11 should be ok as it's shorter year, it just scares me I guess.
My thoughts were interupted by my window moving. Shit, this is why I don't normally leave my window open. I have scissors in my cabinet next to my bed, shit who the fuck is it.
"Kayla, Kayla it's me, Ben". He said, I jumped up and turned on my lamp.
"What the fuck are you doing here?" I asked, confused.
"Fancy a late night walk?" He smiled. I grabbed my jacket and converse and set off. I don't know why I left. It's so unlike me to just leave, but im calmer around people.
We snuck out of my window and out onto the street. It was actually quite dark as it's now 11:45pm.
"So, you nervous about tomorrow?" He asked me.
"Yep, I mean no... I mean kind of. Are you?"
"Not really, I mean all my friends will still be there and stuff, I'm not one to get nervous" he laughed awkwardly.
"Do you maybe wanna sit down here and just look at the stars?" He said, pointing to the pach of grass at the end of out road. To say I was scared was an understatement, I mean a robber could come at us and-
"Relax" he said, stopping my thought pattern.
We sat down. "How did you know I was freaking out?"
"I've known you all my life, you just pick things up I guess."
We looked up at the stars.
"This is so cheesy" I laughed.
"Its only cheesy if it's romantic.... is this romantic?" He said, but this time, no laugh. No witty comment. Just a question.
"Ben-" I said.
He leaned in and kissed me. I smiled out of the kiss. Wow.
"I guess that answered that" he said.
