I was sitting in bed while Harry slept peacefully beside me. I could hear the sound of my computer going off so I bent down and grabbed it seeing that Liam was skyping me. I smiled and placed my lap top on my lap answering his call. I hadn't been able to see Liam since the wedding and I was missing him terribly, but when your stuck in honeymoon mode it's quite difficult to drag yourself away from it.
As soon as Liam's faced popped up on the screen I motioned for him to stay quiet. I moved the lap top showing that Harry was sleeping and he chuckled a little bit. "I'll be quiet" He whispered to me.
"Thank you, he gets cranky when he's woken up" I giggle a little bit and Liam positions himself better at his desk.
"So...how is your honeymoon in Europe? Is it everything you thought it would be?" He leans his cheek against the palm of his hand and I nod eagerly.
"It's been amazing....spending time with Harry without having to worry about the distractions of the real world. Which luckily we left behind in the states."
"With me...all alone" He pokes out his bottom lip and I can't help but roll my eyes.
"You have Edward." I stop myself for a moment. "You two are still together right?" I can tell by his expression that everything is not okay back home. And I've just been to selfish to pull myself away from my life to check on those I care about. "Liam...talk to me?" I stand up from the bed and go out into the hall so that we can speak freely. I take a seat on the ground before placing the lap top back in my lap.
"It's nothing...we just got into a fight..." He whispers letting his fingers slide through his hair.
"A fight about what?" I ask tilting my head to the side a bit.
"He uhm...He asked me to marry him..." He bites down on his lip and my eyes widen. What the hell? Why would this be a bad thing? I thought they were just as in love as Harry and I were.
"And....you told him no didn't you"
"I overheard him talking with his mother about her wanting him to get married. And the next day he had asked me. I felt as if he was being pressured into asking me to marry him. I just didn't feel right telling him yes...he hasn't spoken to me since...I'm scared I've lost him for good."
"You could never lose Edward Liam. Don't be scared, I told Harry no when he first asked me. The Styles men have to be willing to wait if they want to get two fine men like us" I joke in hopes of getting a smile from Liam. He lets out a small chuckle before obviously shaking his head at me.
"Thanks...I needed to hear that. I'll try and speak with him tomorrow." He sighs and I nod and blow him a small kiss which he catches putting it in his pocket. I smile and close my lap top before returning into the bed room. As I walk in I can see that Harry is not very much awake and seems to be looking for something.
"Harry?" I ask looking at him
"I can't find it" He huffs out still searching for whatever on earth he could have misplaced.
"What are you looking for?"
"My work phone. I'm expecting a call" A call? From his work phone? What happened to no more working on our honeymoon? I sigh and walk to the closet, slowly I pull it open and grab his phone and throw it onto the bed. He stares at it for a moment before slowly letting his gaze fall upon me.
"I just figured you wouldn't need it" I shrug and set my lap top down on the side table. He sighs and sits down on the bed grabbing the phone.
"Niall..."
"I get it. A man like you can't be pulled away from his job for his own honeymoon. It's understandable." My voice is laced with disappointment and sarcasm. He reaches for my hand but I pull it back before he's able to do so. I don't have time to keep worrying about what he plans on doing on our honeymoon. I make my way towards the door but Harry presses it shut and stands in front of it.
