50 Shades Freed

Chapter 14

"Harry have you seen my bag!?" I yell from the bedroom. It's been a week since the Red Room incident and Liam begged Harry and I to join him and Edward on a trip to Aspen. I expressed that I hated skiing but of course no one cares what I like.

"I had everything put into the car why?" He asks walking into the room zipping up his coat. I shake my head running my fingers through my hair. I was looking for this journal I had been keeping, but Harry didn't know about it. And I had hoped to keep it that way. 

"Nothing I just really don't feel the need to go on this trip" I stand up straight and walk over to him. He wrap his arms around my waist and he places his lips against my forehead. 

"We're going to have a lot of fun. I thought you'd be excited" 

"I just don't feel all the great. Maybe once we get there I'll feel better" I hum and he smiles kissing my cheek. I grab hold of his hand and let him lead me out of the room going down the steps. I could see Taylor and Leo standing by the door clearly waiting for us. Leo hadn't really spoken to me since the incident and I feared that Harry had said something to him. 

I should ask Harry about if he's said anything. He opens the car door for me and I slide in as he does the same shutting the door behind him. Once I'm sure that neither Leo or Taylor can hear us I turn to Harry. "Have you said anything to Leo...about..." 

"Yes I've spoken to him" 

"And said?" 

"Why does it matter?" 

"He hasn't spoken to me since...and I consider him a friend" 

"He's your body guard not your friend Niall." He cuts the conversation short and I cross my arms over my chest. If he's not going to tell me what I want I'll just find out from Leo when we get a moment. The car pulls out of the driveway and I look out the window responding to a few texts from Liam. 

"Edward and Liam are at the airport waiting for us" 

"I know"

I set my phone in my carry on bag and close my eyes. The drive there seemed to take ages but luckily there was no communication between Harry and I. He more than likely knew that I had planned on speaking to Leo and that was fine with me. For as long as he's known me I've been nothing but defiant. He should be used to it by now.

I stepped into the jet seeing Liam sitting there with his head in Edwards lap. For a moment I shield my eyes but I notice that, my eyes were playing tricks on me. "Liam's sleeping" Edward whispers and I walk over and have a seat. 

Harry sits next to me so that we are directly facing Edward and Liam. I lay my head on Harry's shoulder and I can hear the pilot speaking with Taylor preparing for the flight. 

"How have you been?" Edward asks looking at me, his eyes laced with concern. I look over at Harry seeing that he's looking down at me. 

"You told him about what happened?" I sit up a little bit 

"He's my brother...I tell him a lot of things..." He rolls his eyes at me. And I'm not allowed to roll my eyes.

"Yes I'm fine..." I sit up in my seat looking over at Edward. He smiles a little at me, and the smile is filled with pity. I lean my seat back and hear the engines begin to the roar. This is going to be a long plane ride. 

I'm startled awake by the plane landing on the airstrip. I whine a little in frustration looking around seeing that Liam and Edward are awake and their lips joined together. "EW" I shout purposely  and they jump apart. Liam's cheeks tint a bright red, while Edward looks as cocky as ever. 

I look over at Harry seeing that he's still sleep. I place my hand on his shoulder and gently rock him awake. He turns his head a little looking over at me. "We're here..." He sends me a sleepy nod before sitting up looking around the jet. He places his hand on my knee and I place mine over his. Once the plane comes to a halt we all stand and prepare to exit the plane. I grab my carry on and walk off with Liam, with Edward and Harry in tow. 

"It's a bit chilly" Liam says 

I check my phone. "It's the 10 degrees" I let out a breath seeing the breath leaving my lips in a puff of smoke. I pull my coat further onto my body and walk to the truck. Edward and Harry throw the bags into the back and quickly climb in. "How far is the resort?" I ask Edward. 

"It's about 10 miles from here" He says wrapping his arm around Liam's shoulder. Little does Liam know this is the weekend that Edward has planned to propose again. The only reason I know about it is because he asked me to help him with the surprise. What he left out was that he would be proposing in Aspen. 

I feel a hand on my thigh and I look over at Harry and he tugs me closer to him. "Conserving body heat" He smiles and I roll my eyes. 

"Or just an excuse to be close to me" I laugh

"Do I need an excuse?" 

I shake my head no laying my head against his chest. I close my eyes a little bit deciding to go back to sleep for as long as I can. I try to fall back asleep but I'm unable to, so I find myself looking out the window watching the snow stick to the ground. The white blanket gently laid over the ground captivating me. I listen to the soft song playing from the radio and stare out of the window.

The car stops and everyone starts to climb out of the car. I grab my bags and get out looking at extraordinary house standing before me. "Wow..." Is all I can manage to get out.

"Beautiful isn't she?" Edward says standing next to me looking at the house. 

"Yes she is" I smile and walk to the door waiting for Edward to let me in. He unlocks the door and I quickly drop my bags. I wait for Liam to come inside so that we can explore the house together. He grabs hold of my hand and pulls me directly up the stairs. I can tell by the way that he's pulling me that he's got to talk to me about something. 

He pulls me into a different room and shuts the door. "I think Edward's going to propose while we're here" Shit. Shit. Shit. 

"What makes you think that?" I arch my eyebrow 

"I don't know...I just have a gut feeling..." 

"Are you going to say no again..." 

"No...I just...I'm nervous..." 

"Don't be. Marriage is great. Planning a wedding is stressful though" I laugh sitting down on the bed. 

He rolls his eyes sitting down next to me lying his head on my shoulder. I wrap my arm around his shoulder trying to tell him all the great things about marriage. I knew that Edward had put a lot of time into this and I didn't want Liam to get cold feet. I kiss his temple and he smiles. 

"So have you decided if you're going to say yes?" I look down at him

"I'm going to say yes..."

I don't think this is in the book but I'm trying to fill it up with as much as I can. So I'm going to give a little Edward and Liam, but only for this chapter and the next. But don't worry Harry and Niall will still be there. Edward and Liam will just be a side note.
