Chapter 9 - Car Wreck

Sean's POV

I helped Megan downstairs, and out the front door. Her dad didn't wake, so thats a plus for us. I got her in the car. She looks awful, yet beautiful all at once. I started the car and we were off.
"Should we call the police?" Megan said, sounding in pain. "I- no- maybe.. I honestly don't know. Probably." I said. I wanted to call the police, but I don't want anyone to take her away from me. I looked into the review mirror and the car that was behind us has been following us, for quite some time. "Megan, whatever happens, just know I love you." I said. I noticed that she looked worried. I think I scared her a little. "Sean. What's going on?" She asked. "The car behind us, it's been following us for a while, since we left your street actually. I... I don't trust it. I'm just trying to protect you." I said, putting my hand on her leg. She relaxed, but still looked worried. We were turning, when the car came from behind us, and knocked another car out of the way, making it hit us. We were spiraling out of control. I tried hitting the brake. I tried with all my might. Megan was crying, pleading for nothing to happen. I dont want anything to happen to my world. So I put my arm out in front of Megan, blocking the airbag. I felt as if I was being crushed, my arm was in pain, I hit my head, then blacked out.

Megan's POV

I opened my eyes expecting to be in my bed, where this was all a dream. From Sean, to my dad, to meeting Mark, I thought it was all a dream. But I woke up in a bright room. I sat up and looked around. A hospital room? Did I fall asleep in the car? I looked down, I had an Iv in my arm, and a wrap around my chest and stomach. I looked around for Sean but I didn't see him. But I did see a curtain blocking me from my "neighbor". "Sean?" I said quietly, so I wouldn't wake the person next to me. "Hello Megan, how are you feeling?" A nurse said coming in. "In some pain, umm, where's Sean?" I asked. She turned to me, and fixed the iv. "Sean? You mean the man that was found with you?" She said. "Wait, what do you mean "found"?" I asked. Did something happen in the car? Is he gone?! My eyes started to get watery, from the thought of me losing him. "You don't remember what happened?" The nurse said. I shook my head. The last thing I remember was... Sean saying he loved me. The nurse sighed, and sat at the end of the bed. "You guys got into an accident. This "sean" guy saved your life. The police are looking into it due to the fact there were guns involved. What happened was, you two were apparently already on your way here, and the car behind you sped up, crashing into another car, that ended up crashing into you. The guns came from the first car that was behind you. Sean put his arm in front of you, stopping the bullet straight for your heart. However the bullet hit Sean's watch, stopping it. I must say you two are very lucky." The nurse said. "Then wheres Sean?" I asked. She stood and pulled the curtain. There he was. Laying on the bed. He had an oxygen mask on, iv, he had a wrap around his arm, and head. "What's wrong with him?" I asked. I felt a tear roll down my cheek. Seeing him like that broke my heart. He doesn't deserve this. I should be dead. Not like this. "He has a fractured arm, and he hit his head when the air bag went off. His ribs are fractured as well, but not like yours." She explained. She's right. My ribs hurt like all hell, but it was from my dad. I looked back at Sean. He started to move around in his bed groaning, probably from the pain. "N-no!! I- I need to save her!" He said. He sat up quickly, years running down his face with his hand around his gut. "Megan!"

Sorry for not updating, since Daniels death I've been having a hard time getting through the days. I won't add Daniels death in the story, so please don't ask. Anyways I'm sorry again, and I live you all.
