Sean's POV

"Honestly Mark, I'm getting tired of just hiding. I need to do something about it. And that's the only thing I can think of." I said. This needs to stop. Its so ridiculous, and dumb. "It's suicide Sean! You can't just go out there expecting to save everything!" Mark explained. I looked over to Megan, who is shaking, and trying to breathe. "Get her to the car. Just please keep her safe." I asked. Mark looked at me worriedly, but did as I asked. "Sean! I can't leave you!" Megan cried out. "Babe, I'll be at the house as soon as possible. I promise. Call up everyone and tell them you are okay." I said, walking over to her and kissing her. I watched as they quickly got out of the mall. I started to walk around looking for him, yet was no where in sight. I pulled out my phone and dialed 911.

"Hello, 911, what's your emergency?" I hear a lady say.
"Hello, I need backup at the mall downtown, My name is Sean McLoughlin, and there is a convict here." I explained. I was still looking around to where we went and didn't see him.
"There are cops heading up there now, Is it the escaped convict, Bruce Parker?" She asked.
"Yes, I sent Megan home, with a few good friends of mine, but I want him gone. He needs-"

I felt arms around my neck, trying to strangle me. I could hear people scream, and run away. I kept trying to escape, but I was struggling. My vision was getting blurry and dark, I was feeling nauseous, and feeling myself slip away. I managed to kick him with my foot, setting me free. I turned around to him running at me, but I quickly dodged him. "Why are you doing this?!" I yelled out. People were still running out of the mall. He didn't answer my question. Instead of walking away, he ran at me again, this time I didn't dodge. I went to go swing, but missed. He tackled me, and shoved me to the ground. We were on the second floor, close to a glass walkway. It wasn't looking good for us. He tried to punch me, but his aim was awful. I punched him, knocking him over. When I stood up, I was automatically swung over to the walkway, and thrown on the ground. It caused the glass to break and we were falling to the first floor. I landed in a pile of glass, go figure. I felt the pain and the blood soaking my shirt. I managed to knock him another direction mid fall. Where the hell is the fucking police?! I thought. I stood up to the sound of a gun clicking. I turned around and he was pointing a revolver at me. "You never answered my question." I said trying to stall time. I couldn't begin to fathom why he would do this, why he would abuse his only daughter left, why he would turn into such a piece of shit. "You wouldn't understand." He finally said. "What is there to understand? There is no reason to hurt someone else, no reason to murder innocent people, to HURT YOUR ONLY DAUGHTER YOU HAVE LEFT!" I said, ending up screaming. He started to walk towards me, like nothing hurt. But I could see it in his eyes. "Your just in my way." He said holing up the gun to my head. I heard another click. Was this it? I thought. I closed my eyes, waiting for him to pull the trigger.

And the gun shoots.

I felt blood rushing down my shirt, yet no pain. I opened my eyes to see Megan standing there. Shaking badly, tears rolling down her face. She had a pistol in hand. Her hands were shaking badly when she dropped the gun. Cops were running in after her. I looked down at the now dead father. I ended up dropping him. But I collapsed to the ground as well. Police and medic were running up towards Megan and I. It seemed like everything was in slow motion. So much was happening, and all I could think was how is she doing. I was in so much pain, they needed to drive me to the hospital. I looked up, and Medics were trying to ask me questions, but I blacked out.

Mark's POV

*Earlier That Day*

"Megan, I promise you, He will be okay." I reassured her. But she could tell I couldn't keep that promise. We were pulling out of the parking lot, and I could feel something was wrong. "Can we stop off somewhere to get food?" Megan asked. I nodded my head. I'm so afraid. Right when I was about to go, after a stop sign, Megan had jumped out of the car, running back into the building. "Megan! It's not safe!" I yelled out. There were cars behind us so we couldn't back out. I made a huge U-Turn going back in. When I finally got parked Megan had already ran inside. I quickly jumped our of the car, going on after her. Bob and wade had followed me in.

Megan's POV

I couldn't let him. If he killed him, I wouldn't have a reason anymore. When I ran in, I saw glass break. Sean and my dad were falling to the first floor. When the both landed, a gun had fallen out of my dads grasp. I quickly went to go get it. Running down the stairs I heard Sean yell something. "HURT YOUR ONLY DAUGHTER YOU HAVE LEFT!" It stung. I was the only blood related to him. But that didn't make us family. I saw a pistol on the ground, and quickly got it. But when I looked up my dad had a revolver to Sean's forehead.

*click*

He was going to kill him. I didn't know how to work a gun. I just pulled it up, and aimed. I was pointing it at his chest. And I pulled the trigger. I was shaking so badly, that my aim went off. I don't know who I shot. Everything was going blurry. I felt my whole body go numb. I dropped the gun, tears rolling down my face. I don't know who I shot. And it scared me that I could have shot Sean. I felt arms grab around me helping me up. I heard sirens, voices, medic, police, dogs, and Mark. "Megan please. Stay calm. Its okay, I'm riding with you. Your okay." He said reassuring. Riding? I must be in an ambulance. And all I could think about was him.
