Allison Braidford
Friday, November 13thI finally spotted Andrea and Amber in the crowd of hungry students. The first half of my day had just been terrible. My math homework had been crushed and torn by the math textbook and the teacher wouldn't accept it. Chelsea Seinfeld got transferred into my English class and was giving me the stink eye all throughout the period. Also, my sandals were giving me blister on my heel and they hurt like a môtherfûcker.
"Hey, Ally. You don't look too good," Amber greeted me as I sat down.
"I want to go home and go to sleep," I whined. I subconsciously rubbed my eyes and smudged my mascara.
"Um...you got a little ma-" Andrea started to point out the smudges.
"I know," I murmured. I buried my head in my crossed arms and closed my eyes. I felt something wet being tossed onto my head. I felt it up and grabbed it.
"Wipe your face. People are looking at you weirdly," Andrea pointed to the makeup wipe that she had thrown at me. I groaned and wiped off the black makeup.
"This day just keeps getting worse and worse," I moaned as I got up to throw away the used makeup wipe.
I tossed the wipe into the nearby trash can and spotted Dylan across the crowded lunch room. He saw me too and flashed me his signature charming smile. That was the thing that made me like him in the first place. Since fourth grade, I had the biggest crush on him. When he finally asked me out, I felt like I had won the lottery.
I gave him a small smile back and headed back to my seat.
"So," Amber started once I sat down, "you're both going to the party tonight, right?"
"Yeah, Dylan is going to be there and I want to spend some more time with him." Both of them rolled their eyes at the mention of Dylan's name. They both thought I spend way too much thought on him and our relationship. They never liked Dylan.
Andrea gave us an apologetic look, "Sorry guys, I have to stay home tonight. My great-aunt and uncle are visiting from North Carolina so my parents are forcing me into a dress for a party they are throwing."
"Damn it, Andrea. You always rain on our parade. This was supposed to be an amazing party. But tell your mom I said hi," Amber said jokingly.
"Yes ma'am," she gave us a salute. Just as I was about ask Amber what made the party amazing, the bell rang and students started getting up. I picked up my backpack and was about to ask, but she had walked off.
Oh well...

Later
Have you every just stood back and looked at your life, thinking what am I doing with my life?
That's what is a happening this very moment. Amber managed to squeeze me into leather leggings, a white crop top, and black peep-toe pumps. She thought I looked cute and stylish. I couldn't even think because I was so uncomfortable.
"Why do I have to wear this? Can't I just wear my jeans and converse?" I whined. Amber turned around and flashed me a look that made me think I had just kicked a puppy
"Hell to the no, Ally. You look hot and, just for tonight, just accept that you are hot," she grabbed me by my shoulders and looked me right in the eye. "You are so hot, if I were a lesbian, I would bang you."
