Zombie Apocalypse

Chapter 1: Meeting Me

I'm running away from a few of the undead and of course I'm always prepared. As in having a back full of food, water, weapons, and ammunition. You're probably wondering who I am, well hi the names Smith, Annabelle Smith. I shoot some if them with the crossbow cause I don't want to attract more, finally they are all dead...again and for good this time. I was starting to feel just a little bit safe until I heard some tree branches breaking,"Who's there?"

I pulled out my crossbow,"I said who's there?" I was starting to get worried,"Help me." I hear faintly, I ran to the voice and I see a boy with brown hair and magnificent blue eyes,"Who are you?" I pointed my bow at him, he put his hands up like he was surrendering,"M-my name is N-Nash. P-please don't shoot me."

I lower it and pulled him behind a tree,"What the f-" I covered his hand and put up the shhh signal. I looked around the tree and spot an undead, I grabbed it and shoot it's head. I cut it open and spread it's guts on me,"What the hell are you doing?!" I signal him to come here and him being a coward and shit, he shook his head no. I rolled my eyes,"If you don't do this, you won't survive."

He instantly came over and I spread guts on him,"Now act like an undead and they won't suspect anything, they maybe fast but not that intelligent." He nodded, I turned around and scanned the area looking for a place to spend the night. I spotted a cabin and mentioned him to follow me with his head and follow my lead. I started walking like an undead and none of them thought of a thing, thinking us are one of them. One day this will all end, hopefully.

I opened the cabin's door and brought him in, shooting the ones in there and dragging them out while the others just wonder like the hungry bastards they are. They have no mercy they will eat their own kind, they just don't give a damn they will eat what they can. "So what are going to do now?" I turned around and faced Nash,"We are going to rest." "So tell me about yourself since I never got your name."

This kid sure does have a mouth,"The names Annabelle and I was always the outsider. My family died because they didn't listen to me and now they are the undead. I stole stuff to survive which reminds me." I pulled out another backpack, hey you never know what you need in this cruel world,"Go scavenge the cabin to see what's good and when you're done come in the living room." He nodded and went to work while I made sure there is enough supplies for BOTH me and him, luckily I knew life hacks thanks to youtube.

"Hey I found some canned food and water." I nodded and went to organize it, what I'm OCD! "Ok so to keep from running out of food, eat small proportions so you can trick your mind that you're eating enough. Drink water when you really need it and only for good reasons, today's water are basically polluted." He nodded,"So what's yours Nashley?"

He groaned,"Don't call me that! But anyways before any of this happen my friends." I cringed, but he didn't notice,"And I go to this event called MAGCON, they went to Washington and so did my family because they went to go on a vacation earlier than MAGCON. I went on a week later plane, but it got canceled." "The virus, it was a few days before."

"They probably turned." He looked down,"No they're safe, Washington is the only safe place on this planet. They have been prepared for a while, I tried to get my family there but they are dumb and didn't listen to me." He looked up with hope,"So that's why we're heading to Washington!" He started to beam, it was kind of cute.

Wait, what?! He ran up and hugged me, which felt kind of gross cause of the guts and shit. He let go awkwardly,"Oh um sorry." "I-it's fine I never got proper hugs anyways. Ok time to rest and get ready for the ride of your life for tomorrow Nash."

Maybe this partnership thing will be for the best. Maybe just maybe. That was the last thing I thought before darkness overtook my body.
