Chapter 16: Training Delilah

The train started to pick up speed, making more noise as it goes. It can lure thousands of the undead, but it was worth it. Del was playing with Nash, uncontrollably giggling because he was tickling her. I stood from a distant, watching having fun. I sound like a creeper, but ay its cute come on now. I smiled a little, remembering these moments that Grace and I had.

Suddenly, my smile disappeared into a slight frown. I miss her so much, if only those assholes I call parents let her come with me, she would still be breathing and alive. I grumbled at the though of my so called "parents" and just focus on whats happening at the moment. I decided to pay a visit to my cousin, so I walked towards the head of the train.

(A/N: If you thought something nasty, ooo you nasty bitch. Just kidding lol.)

"Wassup cousin hows driving the baby feel?" Her eyes brighten,"Its fucking amazing! If only my dad were here," She trailed off, with her eyes dulling again. "Hey its alright he is very proud of you on how far you have gotten, I bet him and Hope are watching over you." 

(A/N: I don't know if I gave Catherine's sister a name so there ya go.)

She smiled,"You really think so?" "I don't think, I know so." We smiled at each other,"Well I better train Del for the greater good surviving this hell of a planet." "Ok see ya later my hoe." "Bye bitch!"

She laughed and I made my way towards the box that held the things that keep me breathing. I then heard some talking,"So are you and mommy going to get married?" I heard Nash chuckle,"Well you see sweet pea, right now is not the best time. But I can assure that I will one day." I blush at his words,"Do you love mommy?"

This really caught my attention,"I do love her I'm just scared to say it to her because I'm afraid she won't feel the same way." He loves me? Well I mean it has been some time since we started dating, hell I don't even know how long. I'm not a calendar! I started to eavesdrop even more into their conversation,"I'm pretty sure she loves you back, I mean have you seen her face when she's around you?

She's like a glowing christmas trees!" "You really think so?" Theres my cue," I don't think so, I know so." They both whipped their heads in my direction,"Uh how much did you hear?" "Enough to know that you love me and I love you."

"I told you so!" I laughed at Del and ran towards her, picking her up in the process. "We should train you sweetheart, I mean you need to defend yourself sometimes. We can't always be here for you." She nodded, but look excited?

"Then what are we waiting for?! Let's get started!" She wiggled her way out of my grasp and I sent Nash a confused look. He shrugged his shoulders, signaling that he doesn't know. "But first, we must take care of your hair." 

She look at me, giving me a 'really' look,"Come on now we can't let our beautiful hair get nabbed by an undead can we?" She sighed and shook her head no,"Come on it can't be that bad, I'll cut it for you." I try to reason with her. After a few no's and complaining, we finally got her to agree on cutting her hair. "Ok," I said grabbing the scissors,"This is for your safety."

"Do you have a hair tie?" I question nobody in particular,"I always have one in my back pocket." Del answered ,"Great! Can I use it?" She nodded and took it out of her pocket,"Thanks!" 

I tied her hair into a ponytail. Then grabbing the scissors, I cut it almost to the beginning of the pony tail. "Ok I'm going to warn you, that its gonna be really short ok?" "I don't care, its gonna grow back anyways." "Thats my girl!"

"Ok I'm finished." She reached behind her head to feel her newly cut hair,"It's so short!" She squealed out,"Short, but safe." She nodded,"So whats next?" I looked at Nash,"Pass me a gun and a bow with arrows please dear."

He rolled his eyes playfully, but got me the supplies I needed,"Thank you darling." I turn back to Del,"You're gonna need to know how to use these weapons so you can survive." She nodded,"But where do you shoot it to make sure it doesn't come back?" She pointed at her head and I nodded,"Ok we are going to need some targets. Nash can you look around to see if there are any bottles or something?" 

He nodded and went into another box,"Mommy?" I turned around,"Can I hold the gun and bow?" I nodded and turned on the safe lock so she can't shoot it, I then handed her the gun. "It's heavy!" I nodded,"But you're going to have to get use to it sweetheart." She nodded,"Annabelle I found some bottles in the dining box."

"Perfect!" He handed me the bottles and he moved away from the area,"Ok sweetheart, I'm going to place a bottle down and you have to wait ok?" She nodded. I placed the bottle down and walked back to where she is,"Ok I'm going to turn off the safe lock, so don't pull the trigger that is inside the little hoop." I turned off the safe lock and she pulled up the gun, finger on the trigger but putting no pressure on it.

"Ok aim the gun at the base of the bottle, but if its a real undead always aim at the head." She nodded and pointed the gun at the base, but I have to position her arm position.I covered her ears then she shoots the gun, but misses the target,"Ok aim a little bit to the left and lower it." She repositioned the gun to my orders and she shoots. "Right on!"

I high-fived her,"Ok two more and then its bow time, even though its the same thing." We continued to train and she finally got it the at the last try,"I did it!" She then cringed and covered her ears,"Its ringing." "You'll get use to it and if your arms hurt you'll get use to that also." She nodded,"That was amazing baby girl!" 

She ran towards Nash,"Daddy I did it!" "I see, but now you have to work on the bow." "I know." She sighed,"But I'm tired." She rubbed her eyes and yawned,"Don't worry sweetheart, we can do it tomorrow." 

She nodded and curled up to Nash, her eyes fluttering close. "I can't wait till we get to D.C." I spoke to no one in particular,"Me neither." I faintly smile, the darkness took over my body and mind.
