Chapter 4- Chases pov
Waking up this morning i felt happier than i have before, i remembered what happened yesterday and what i had planned to do today.
As i stepped out of the shower feeling refreshed i heard my phone ringing from my bedside table, i walked over and looked at the caller it was only Liam hes been my best friend since i started freshman year, we havent been unseperable yet, i sighed and answered the call.
"Chase, what time you headed out, me, the reast of the guys and the girls want to meet for something to eat this morning"
God it was early why did he always waffle on, i quickly shut him up by saying,
" Yeah just text me a time and place"
Before he could answer i disconnected the call, yeah hes my best friend but he can be annoying sometimes.
After the meaningless phone call with Liam, i began to get dressed i decided on casual so i picked dark blue jeans, a white T and gray slip ons as the weather outside was amazing for this time of year. Maybe a part of me also wanted to look sexy for a certain someone i was trying to impress.
A few minutes after i dressed i recieved a text from Liam he told me 10 minutes and Nicks. I grabbed my stuff that i needed for the day and headed downstairs. I couldnt find my mum anywhere so i left a note telling why i headed out so early and stuck it to the refrigerator door where she would be able to see it straight away, with this i grabbed my car keys from the counter and headed outside to my car.
15 minutes later i arrived at Nicks, i parked my car and headed inside to were the others were waiting for me. As i approached the table and sat down Liam spoke
"Man what took you so long?, we got hungry so we ordered"
Jeez nice of them to wait a while longer for me i thought
"Sorry traffic was a nightmare, i'm here now"
i shook my head, annoyed with them really as i stood up and made my way to the counter to order i saw her stood behind the counter looking as beautiful as always, as i approached i coughed lightly letting her know i was here and waiting, her head shot up immeadiately and i noticed her smile before she turned and walked over to me.
"What would you like"? she said coldly, no Hi Chase or Good Morning, just that question.
" 4 pancakes with chocolate sauce, Please" she wrote down the order so i pulled out a ten dollar bill and handed it over to her.
As she turned to the til and entered the price i told her
"and whatever you want aswell, my treat" she smiled at me before placing the money in the cash register and handing me my change.
As i was waiting i decided i wanted to get to know her a little bit more.
"So Lily you work here, i didnt know that"
She looked confused but replied " Not many people do just my friends and family, but its extra cash that comes in handy"
I wondered what she meant by that statement but decided not to push any further surely she would learn to trust me to tell me whats happening in her life but i also liked how she was independent. Just then she handed me a stack of pancakes adn walked into the back of the diner. I quickly returned to my friends who i had forgotten all about and sat down.
" What were you doing talking to that" Jessica spat at me.
Confused i replied " What you mean Lily"
" Yeah HER!, shes a loser, anobody why do you need to speak to her when you got me"
I stopped nearly choking on ym pancakes, oh yeah i forgot that Jessica thought she was mine and she threatens anybody that dared talk to me especially girls.
I looked back at her and shrugged my shoulders and continued eating my pancakes, whilst everyone else just sat there with shocked looks on there faces. When we were finished eating we decided to head for school, Jessica decided to ride with me as we pulled into the parking lot, i noticed Lily stood near the main doors waiting on her own( most probaly for her friends).
Stepping out of the car i began walking towards the main building past Lily, when i felt someone tugged on ym arm, turning around i come face to face with Jessica (god this girl gets on my nerves, i dotn even like her) she grabbed my face and began to move closer and closer so that our lips were almost touching, right then and there she pulled me once more so that we were full blown makeout sessio, wolf whistling sounds coming from my so called mates were not helping the situation, minutes later she let go satisfied with herself, i stood there for a moment shocked and thought why'd she do tha? t was it to get back at me for earlier.
She blew me a kiss and walked off with Sarah and Maisie in tow. I quickly remembered Lily stood there and looked around but she was nowwhere to be seen, i felt sad and angry she had witnessed that because today was meant to be a New Day. I sighed anad headed into the school and to my first lesson ENGLISH, I smiled to myself remembering that this lesson meant that me and Lily were alone and i can talk to her without anyone watching.
