Let me just start off this chapter by saying that I am terribly sorry about taking so long to update this story. You guys deserve better than this. No amount of excuses can make up for my inability to keep my promise to you to update more often. And for patiently waiting for an update I hope you enjoy this chapter.

Hikaru's P.O.V
I lunged into the water after her. Pulling her into my body, I turned us around so I took the brunt of the fall. As I held her, I felt something wet in my hand. I looked at it and it was blood. We hit the water and I carried her to dry land.
"Call an amblulance, she's bleeding and unconscious!" I call out desperately. Kyoya instantly flips out his cell phone and makes calls. Aki and Tamaki come rushing over.
"Akarui... wake up..." She started crying and hugging Akarui.
I stood there motionless, unaware of what to do. My whole world felt like it was crashing down. Sure I still hardly knew her, but I felt connected to her in a way I've never felt before. She had become such a big part of my life recently that if I lost her now, it would change my life drastically.
"Why was no one there to help her?!" I shouted.
Seven pairs of eyes stared at me with shock at my outburst then Haruhi looked down. "I should have helped her, I was up there with her, but she told me to get help... She said she could handle it.. I didn't know what to do, she's so strong I didn't think that... oh god..." Tears fell as she put her hands to her mouth.
The anger left me as I bit my lip and looked away. The ambulance finally showed up and loaded Akarui onto a stretcher, they only allowed another person in back. "Hikaru, you go." Aki said to me with tear filled eyes.
"A-Are you sure?" I respond and she nods and holds on tightly to Tamaki's hand. I climb in back and hold onto Akarui's hand as we rode to the hospital. In the back they were trying their best to stop the bleeding as much as possible before we arrived.
"Please be okay... I can't lose you." I whispered as I tightened my grip on her hand. I felt her hand twitch and looked at her, there were tears falling down her cheeks but her eyes remained closed.
We arrived at the hospital and they took her to the ER and a doctor stopped me. "Sir, you're not allowed back here, please wait in the lobby."
"But.."
"Please sir, we need to get your girlfriend to surgery."
I blush slightly. " Is she going to be alright?!" I asked desperately.
"We'll see." The doctor left and I was alone in the lobby. The rest of the host club hadn't shown up yet so I sat in a chair with my head in my hands and waited. Tears streamed down my face as I questioned why this happened.
Why hadn't I been there for her? Why did this happen to her? What has she done to deserve this? She's too precious to be treated like this.
When the host club finally arrived, I had already fallen unconscious in the chair with tear stains on my cheeks.
~few hours later~
I woke up and looked at my friends staring back at me worried.
"Did the doctor come out yet?" I asked as I rubbed my eyes.
"Not yet..." Akarui responded from the comfort of Tamaki's arms.
I nodded and looked at Kaoru. "Do you think she'll be okay?"
He bit his lip. "I don't know Hikaru... That cut was pretty deep..."
I looked down and ran my fingers through my hair as I thought about when I first met her, it wasn't when she transferred like it was for her meeting me.
