Chapter 5

Arabella's POV

Its been one month since I began living with the Jones brothers, and things have been going good. During breakfast, Evan walks towards me from the table and sits down next to me. I begin to stutter when I realize how intense his gaze is.

"W-what are y-you looking at?" I manage to say. The guys chuckle when they see me squirm around in my chair.

"Okay, okay, calm down Ara. I just wanted to ask you something." All of the guys eyes instantly turn to Evan and I.

"What's up?" I ask, curious as to what was so important that he left his food to his brothers. He hesitates, then speaks. "Why don't you invite your friend Dani over? I mean its been such a long time since you two last saw eachother."

"I don't know Evan," I say, not sure if he would understand what I mean. It's not like I'm embaressed about my current family situation or anything, it's just that I don't think Dani will like the idea of me living with 7 hot guys.

"Yeah Ara, you should bring her over... I wanna see how cute she is," Nick says, delighted about the idea of girls. Wait, does he think Dani is...

"You should also invite Dani to stay overnight. You could have a little slumber party in your room." Joel insisted that I invite Dani over to stay for the whole night.

"Come on! Call Dani up!" All of them say. I look at Seth who gives me a reassuring smile. I sigh, and then slowly nod. The brothers begin to cheer while Seth continues to stare at me with an intense gaze. Is there something on my face?

Seth's POV

As we wait for Dani to appear, I notice Ara pacing up and down the hall. I chuckle as I think how cute she is. Wait! I shouldn't be thinking like that towards my step-sister.

I shake my head and then walk towards Ara, she tenses when she feels my hand on her shoulder. She soon relaxes when she turns and sees my face. "Sorry, I just thought you were-" she soon gets cut off by the sound of the door bell. In the blink of an eye, she's gone. I sigh,"Well lets go see this Dani."

As Ara sprints towards the door, she sees the brothers walking slowly towards the doors. She practically knocks them out of the way and continues chanting,"I'll get it! I'll get it! I'll get it!"

We all stare in disbelief thinking of how special Dani could be towards Ara. We all chuckle at how childish Ara is acting right now.

We head towards the door, all of us guys smiling at how happy Ara is. She opens the door and jumps into a pair of big, well-muscled arms that had a tattoo of a cross on the wrist. As soon as she lets go, all of our smiles fade away.

Dani's POV

I ring the doorbell and am welcomed to the sound of a sqeualing Ara and a big hug. I chuckle, thinking how much I've missed her. As she lets go, I look over her head to see 7 scowling faces. I could have sworn I heard a distinct growl coming from this pair of twins. Ara turns around to see the scowling faces and she looked confused. Wow, she's as dense as ever.

"Guys, this is Dani, the one I've been telling you about." She talks about me?

All of her brothers stare at her in shock. I guess they thought I wasn't a guy. I smirk as I see how annoyed her brothers are of me. I guess they caught my smirk considering that their faces turned even darker. This might be a fun night.

Joel's POV

We all stare in disbelief as we stare at Dani. Dani's a guy!?! I thought he was a girl. Ara shows concern at the tense atmosphere in the house. I'm the first one of my brothers to be mature enough to say hello.

"Hi, my name is joel. These are my brothers Nick, Evan, Seth, Chris, Dylan, and Jake."

He stares at me in confusion then says,"Woah dude! Any more siblings I should know about." I hear a slight snicker come from Ara, but she soon covers it with a cough. Dani turns his attention to Ara. "So where am I sleeping?"

We all stare straight at Ara as she thinks it through. "Well, maybe you can stay in one of the guests room."

Chris, being the total child he is syas,"Oh, all the rooms are currently under work... We are replacing the wallpaper and it's a total mess." We all smirk, seeing where he's going with it. He's trying to kick out Dani? For once, my brother has a smart idea. We all follow Chris's idea and nod in agreement.

"Well," Ara says, "Maybe he can stay in one of your rooms." She looks towards us with hopeful eyes and we all come up with the excuse of our rooms being to messy.

Finally, Ara clearly frustrated, says, "Then you can stay with me in my room." We all stare at her in shock, wondering how she could ever come up with that idea.

Dani looks towards us and smirks,"Sure, that's fine." Before we can protest, they are already heaading upstairs.

I feel myself fight with my irritation at the thought of them staying in a room together. Why am I so irritated? It's just one night. It's not like he will try something on her, Right?

"Dude, what the hell is going on? Why is Dani staying in Ara's room?" Jake asks, clearly annoyed.

Dylan sighs,"I guess Chris's plan backfired and now he gets to sleep with Ara." 

"Lucky bastard," I mumble, barely over my breath. It seems like my brothers heard me though.

"So what do we do?" 

I frown, disappointed at what I'm about to say. "We are going to spy on them."
