"What? You can't be serious?"

"No means no. We aren't letting you go off on a train to another city over an hour away." My dad said sternly.

I groaned, rubbing my face in frustration. I was about to give up on trying to convince them, when I remembered Abigail saying something about how her older cousin was going to be at the same festival supporting one of his friends bands. She couldn't remember the name, but they were apparently pretty big in the area. "Abigail said her cousin Noah was going to meet us there, I think she said he's 22. We'd technically have an adult with us."

Saying that, I could see the wheels turning in their heads. They always care about my safety which I appreciate to an extent. I want to respect my parents wishes, but I also want to be free and be able to make choices. Good or bad.

I watched as they moved into the other room and talked about the pros and cons of letting their son go an hour away from home for a small music festival. It was only for a weekend. I'd be with my boyfriend and best friends. Abigail would have her cousin there. We would be fine.

Watching my parents walk back into the living room, they looked hesitant to give me their final answer. "We've decided that you can go." I shot off the couch to give them hugs, repeating the words thank you over and over again. "Under a few conditions." I pulled away from the hug, rolling my eyes.
"If we call or text, you better answer right away or call back within an hour. We just want to make sure you're safe."

"Deal! I'm going to go tell Michael."

"At first they were set on me not going. Can you believe them? I never do anything remotely fun and the one time I want to go somewhere with friends, they say no." I sighed, leaning against my window frame. Michael sat in front of his with a notebook in his lap. I think he was doing homework.

"My mom said it was fine as long as you are going. We should probably book our hotel rooms tomorrow." Michael spoke as he kept his gaze down at his lap. His pencil never stopped moving against the paper, but I didn't mind because he was still keeping a conversation. I also enjoyed watching him, he was as cute as a button. I still can't believe all this time I had been pushing him away, when I could have been pulling him closer.

"Your mom is the greatest, why isn't my mom like that. They're best friends, you'd think their personality would rub off just a bit."

"At least we get to go." Michael responded, "And we'll get a queen size bed to ourselves for a night." He giggled, waggling his eyebrows suggestively.

"Your dick in my ass then?" I chucked, leaning further out my window and wiggling my butt behind me.

"Don't do this right now. I'm trying to write, I don't need an awkward boner."

I shook my head before sitting back the way I was. Michael seemed so innocent, so pure, simply too good for this world. But here we were, talking about his dick up my ass, something you would never expect him to do.

"Make sure to pack some condoms and lube. I'm not using some spit substitute, I won't be able to walk for days."

"Pack something sexy. Maybe those spongebob boxers... mmm, so hot." Michael looked completely serious for a moment before breaking out in hysterical laughter. I fondly rolled my eyes at my boyfriend.

"I can't believe we're planning sex. Do normal people do this?"

Michael shrugged. "My parents do. They wait till I'm gone. It's disgusting." Luke crinkled his nose in disgust, not ever wanting to think about Michael's parents or even his own parents doing anything like that in his life.

"You're ruining the mood, Michael..." I whined.

"I didn't even realize we were having a moment."

I snorted, "Boyfriend of the year award."

Michael grinned before climbing out of his window and into my room. He plopped down onto my bed. "Kiss me you fool. I'm tired and I want to sleep."

I happily obliged, climbing into my bed next to Michael. I curled into his side before leaning up to press my lips against his. He tasted like cherries and coconut. I wanted to savor the taste of his lips forever.

"Goodnight, Mikey." I sighed, pulling my boyfriend closer.

I seemed to forget about my mothers rules and how she'll probably be mad if she found us in bed together. I decided to let sleep find me and pull me under, but not before I heard Michael say, "Goodnight, Princess."
