It was dark. I heard a soft whisper next to me.
"Don't worry girl, little Henry and I are here!" It was Don! Even when I don't know what is happening he soothes me.
As a tiny cry covered the whole room, my eyes flew open.
"Now Henry you woke mommy... shhhh. It's okay! Are you hungry?" Don parenting, how precious!
"Starved thanks! I'm joking Don! When was the last time he ate?" I was curious, I only held him for a minute before blacking out. Don gave a little chuckle.
"He ate about an hour or so ago,but he might be hungry! He only ate 4 oz earlier. Do you want to feed him girl? Also are you hungry?" Don was so loving,and I was so thankful.
"I would love to! And yes I am honey! I hadn't eaten anything since the London Airport!" Don confirmed both Henry's and my hunger. Don helped me sit up in the bed and get comfortable! Once I got situated, Don gave Henry to me and gave us both a kiss. "I will be back loves! Girl anything particular you want to eat? If not I was just going to get takeout at that chinese place we like!?"

"Oh! Don I haven't had that in MONTHS!!! Please!! Henry and I will be fine... and we love you too!" We kissed a simple kiss that had passion of teenagers ,but experience of the elderly. As Don left the room I started to feed Henry. Little guy was hungry!!! Henry was almost asleep when a knock on the door startled him!
"Come in!"
I stated clearly enough to not be to loud so Henry would start to fall back asleep.
The door opened.
"Hi! My name is Dr.Gillian and I'm your new gynecologist. Meryl I'm looking at your chart and it looks like we did some blood work when you passed out! It came back okay except your levels were running a little low! Iron, and your blood pressure was a little low! We are going to discharge you tonight, but..... you're 2 months along..." HAHAHA what?
"I'm sorry... 2 months along in what!? I'm pregnant? Seriously!"
I felt myself getting woozy l, but I kept it together. Should I be happy?!
"Yes!Mrs.Gummer you are having a baby. When was your last menstrual cycle?"

"Um, I guess right about 2 months ago.... but I have been on set. I thought I was just stressed. "
"Well.... um no! You're pregnant! Now I need you to come back in about 2 weeks. We will have your first ultrasound and figure out how far you actually are! Oh!I have a patient also waiting! Your discharge papers should be done by about 6 p.m. Have a nice day Mrs.Gummer!" She turned around and shut the door behind her!
Oh my... it was the day we buried dad. The service was over and I was leaving for Italy the next week... Don and I created a baby? Do I tell Don? Or is he already overwhelmed with Henry, and the new installation in Japan.
The door flew open with a delicious smell!
"Girl! I've got food!" He was delighted to see me! I as well!
"Oh!!Hand over the chicken fried rice!" We ate.
