Chapter 12

"Eh?!" Kath gasped. She saw the girl that she bumped yesterday. But Kristine didn't noticed this. But Kath felt something. Something different around her. A different aura. A different person. And a different presence. She sighed. She tell herself that 'Just don't jump into conclusions.' But she noticed the name 'Kristine Elaine'. A friend? or a foe? She didn't know.

"Be careful, maybe she's a comrade or not." Merciless said.

"I will." Kath said in her thought.

It was recess. Kath sighed. As always she is standing in the rooftop. She has no plan to eat.

"Um... what are you doing here?" Someone asked that make Kath jump. She looked back. She saw a girl with a scythe but when she blinked, it was just Kristine.

"Oh Elaine, it's just you." Kath said.

"Sorry if I scared you." She apologized.

"No, no, it's fine." Kath said.

"May I stay with you? I still don't have friends here." She said.

"Then join our group!" Kath beamed.

Only an "Eh?" Came out from Kristine's mouth. But something's wrong with Kath today. Alex and the other's noticed it too, but they decided to not to talk it in front of her. But suddenly a strong wind blows.

"What?! This wind is insane!" Kath said loudly.

"I agree!" Kristine said too.

"Kath- WAHHH!!!" Alex said and opened the door but she fell on the floor.

"Alex?! What is happening?!" Kath said loudly.

"You're friend is fighting." Kristine said.

"What?! What do you mean?!" Kath and Alex said in chorus.

"You can't fool me, Merciless Shadow. You're taking Kath's appearance since the third period. And I know you know what is happening." Kristine said.

"Tch. I always fail." Merciless sighed. She returned to her original form and stopped the wind. The two stand properly. "So how do you know that I was not Kath? Not just a mere human being can tell who am I." Merciless said.

"Well... um... it's just.... err..." Kristine can't say anything.

"Look, I'm not forcing you to-" Merciless was cut off by a motorcycle landed on the rooftop.

"Merciless, get on!" Kath said loudly. Merciless ran and jumped towards to Kath's motorcycle. But within a blink of an eye they disappeared.

"What the..." Kristine started.

"Hell." Alex continued. "Anyway, let's just walk down and eat like all of this thing not happened." Alex added. Kristine noded. They walked downstairs and stopped Ian from fighting the other boys. But Alex noticed that Japhet and Allyssa are having a lovey-dovey time. She smirked.

And thus, the day continued with Alex falling from the stairs and landing to a boy.
