Chapter 23

Kath is gazing out of the window in the school. She is worried. Ken is alone in her apartment. But its been two days, and he's still not waking up. She sighed.

"Hey, Katherine." Her classmate called.

"What is it?" She asked.

"Your cousin is abesnt since his next day in this school. Is something happened to him?" She said.

"Oh! He's... um... he's sick." Kath said.

"Okay." She said but suddenly the bell rang. Kath looked at her watch and it's still 10:45 am, and their lunch is still 12 pm.

"Is this a drill?" Her classmate asked.

"I don't know either." Kath shrugged.

"Attention! All of the students who is still inside of the classroom, a two students are used as a hostage! Please, don't do anything as you please!" The president of the SSC said.

Your classmates shivered. They looked at each other worriedly.

"Alright, class calm down nothing will happen. Just stay with each other." Michael said.

But suddenly the door opened. Ken is standing weakly in the doorway. He walked in. But two girls who looked like each other followed Ken.

"Now, I suggest all of the students came out of this mess! Lester guide them!" Ken said. But suddenly the girls sword was put in Ken's neck.

"How dare you to gesture what are they going to do?!" The girl with a red hair asked angrily.

He ignored her. "Hurry run!" He yelled. The students run outside.

"How dare you to ignore her?! Anyway, where's Katherine Espiritu?! If you don't tell some of you will get hurt!" The girl with a black hair said.

"We won't tell you!" Bryan shouted.

"Then die!" They yelled. "Shoot to kill, the legendary sword of fire!" The girl with a red hair yelled. Her sword extended it almost hit Kath but, instead it hit Ken in the chest. He coughed up blood and fell to the ground, but Kath catched him.

"K-Ken! Hey wake up!" She yelled. But no reply.

"Kenneth! Wake up!" Michael yelled.

"How... many times... should I... tell yo... you that... call... me... Ken?" Ken asked weakly, heavily breathing.

"Get hold of yourself!" Alex said loudly.

The two sisters chuckled. "Its fun to see someone you love dying!" They laughed evily.

"S-Sorry." Ken said.

"Hold on! Ken!" Merciless yelled. But it was too late. Ken disappeared. Kath's tears streamed down in her cheecks.

"No... it's not happening." She shook her head.

"Accept the reality!" The girl with black hair yelled.

"NOOO!"
