Chapter 22

"Disappear, Rebal Hellion." Someone said. It was CJ. She just appeared from somewhere.

"Wha-!? S-Sir?! What happened?!" She gasped.

"What now? I wish I can control time like him." Kath said, worrying.

"You can make the others' power yours, right?" Ian said. Kath noded.

"Then use his." Michael said.

"S-Sir?! You see that all?!" Alex gasped.

"I'm here from the start. Don't worry I won't tell anyone." He said.

Alex sighed. Kath looked questionaly at Michael.

"Do it now and let's bring him to Bryan's apartment. He knows how to treat this kind of thing." Ian and CJ said. They looked at each other and blushed.

"Fine!" Kath said and stood up. "Reap, Pass the time, Merciless Shadow." She said. But it was like nothing happens.

"Eh?" Alex look questionaly at Kath.

"Nothing happens." CJ said.

"Yeah. But count from five to one." Kath said.

"Five." Alex said.

"Four." Ian said.

"Three." CJ said.

"Two." Michael said.

"One." Kath said. The bell rang, signaling it was the end of the school.

"Well, let's just go to his house." CJ shrugged. "Teleport, Rebal Hellion." She said and within a flash, they appeared in the front of Bryan's house. Kath knocked multiple times. Until the door opened, and she hit Bryan in the chest.

"Ow! What do you want?" He asked.

"S-Sorry! By the way, we need yoou to treat Ken. He was bitten by a... uh, what is that zombie-like thing... called?" Kath thinked confusingly.

"You mean ghouls?" Bryan raised his eyebrow.

"Yeah! Yeah!" She noded.

"Let's bring him to your apartment and I will follow there." Bryan said.

"Okay." She said.

"Are we going to teleport again?" CJ asked.

"No. I live next door." Kath said.

"WHAT?!" CJ and Ian said in chorus except Alex and Michael.

"Well, let's go." Kath said. They walked and Kath opened the door. Michael put Ken on Kath's bed.

"Sir, what is ghouls?" CJ asked.

"A ghoul is a monster or evil spirit in Arabian mythology, associated with graveyards and consuming human flesh. The oldest surviving literature that mention ghouls is likely One Thousand and One Nights." Michael said.

"Then why they bite Ken? He's a spirit." Kath said.

"Yeah, he's a spirit but he's inside of a human body." Michael said.

"They associated with graveyards right? Then why are they following the princess of the kingdom of souls?" CJ asked.

"Maybe they're manipulated." Ian shrugged.

Kath shrugged. Bryan came in. He bandaged Ken and this and that.

"Is he okay?" Kath and Alex asked in sync.

Bryan noded. "Apparently, he used all of his strength, so he might not wake up. Maybe tomorrow." He shrugged.

Kath sighed. She looked back at him. Yeah, they're together in a short time. When she's in kindergarten, Ken died. So she's afraid that it will happen once again.

"Thank you." She said.
