Ashton's point of view
School came rolling round once again and I groaned as my familiar alarm set off beside me.

I rolled out of bed and onto the floor gritting my teeth when my back hit the floor with a thump.

Looking up at the ceiling as if there would be some kind of secret portal that I could escape through and ran my hands through my messy hair just for it to fall back over my eyes again.

I propped myself up with my elbows, glanced over to my alarm clock that read 7:03am and ran my hands down my face still trying to bring myself back to reality.

Sadly it didn't work and once again my back hit the floor but just as my eyes started to close shut my door opened and my mum walked in.

"What's all of this noise coming from in here?" She looked around the room trying to find me finally spotting my feet poking out from the side of the bed.

"Ashton's get off the floor you have to get ready for school!" She started throwing some clothes onto my bed including my tie and shirt.

"I have two whole hours why do I have to get up now? (I don't know what time school starts where you live but for me it starts at 8:45)All I have to do is chuck some clothes on, do my hair and stuff some food down my throat!" I moaned still staying on the floor and staring at the ceiling.

"Stop complaining and just get dressed!" She walked out and closed the door behind her.

"Ashton!" I looked along the busy hall trying to find the person who called my name.

Luke came running up to me smiling widely at me.

"Hay," he said out of breath.

"How can you be out of breath you only ran from the other side of the hall?" I laughed at him.

"I may look good but I don't do exercise, unless I'm exercising my mouth when I'm shoving food down it!" He smiles proudly at his joke and I shook my head at him.

"That sounds like something I would say,"

"Exactly your rubbing off on me," Luke shivered sarcastically and I pushed him playfully into the lockers laughing when he almost bumped into a girl walking past.

"Sorry!" He apologised picking up one of her books that had fallen out of her hands.

"It's ok," she mumbled walking off.

I smirked when a small blush appeared on his cheeks.

"Asshole," he pushed me back but not as hard.

I kept laughing at him while he went on about never being more embarrassed in his life.

"she said it was okay stop fretting!" I said starting to get annoyed at his constant whining.

Suddenly the bell went and everyone in the room went silent as the teacher started calling out names from the register.

The day was as crap as any other school day would be and by the end of it I was nearly dead.

It was also really strange.

I misjudged Luke. He was a really good friend, and I emphasis friends because we're nothing more than that.

Luke can think that we're more than just friends all that he wants.

I'm sitting in the kitchen mindlessly browsing Twitter and stalking people that I don't like, we all do it so you can't judge me.

I cringed at a girl in my physics class called Katie who had tweeted about how much she loved her new boyfriend(who probably wasn't even real!) and how he lit up her world.

Things like that make me sick. How people feel the need to tell the world about how much they love their partner.

I'm not saying people aren't allowed at have a true love or anything but you don't have to tell the whole world about it.

My phone started buzzing beside me and Ava's name popped up.

"Hello?" I answered putting it on speaker as I couldn't be bothered holding it.

"Hay ash, I'm so sorry I haven't spoken to you in ages after, you know, but my dad took my phone away and started driving me to and from school so that I wasn't walking with you," for some reason I smiled at the sound of her voice and slowly shut the lid of my laptop.

"No, it's fine, really I kind of figured that I wouldn't be seeing you for a while after that," I laughed still smiling.

"Oh good I though that you would think I used you or something!" I could hear her smile through the phone.

"I saw you and Luke taking today at school, have you finally given him a chance?"

"Believe it or not I actually did and we're getting on really well,"

"That's good," she replied.

"Hmmm,"

"So, I was wondering if maybe you wanted to go out some time, it's okay if you don't want to! It's just I'm not grounded anymore so..." She said and I heard the nerves in her voice.

"Like as in a...date?" I smiled wider.

"Yeah,"
