Chapter 9: Our Cold Swim

Isabella's P.O.V.

I wake up to the birds chirping loudly in the surrounding trees as if the day ahead will be absolutely perfect. Then all the memories from last night come flooding back in one go and I feel like collapsing once again into a ball of tears just like last night.

After pulling myself together I push the tears back. I will not let this ruin my holiday.

I get all my things together as I get ready to have one nice long shower, which usually clears my head in these situations.

As I get out the tent Megan comes shuffling along the road like she has no care in the world. She looks pretty tired and obviously stayed with Eddy last night.

I was so upset when I got back to the tent I didn't even notice she didn't come back late last night. I was supposed to wake up early and find her but that also flipped my mind.

"You are so lucky my parents are sleeping in this morning!" I whisper as she reaches me.

She shakes her head and sighs before getting her things to probably join me and get ready for the day.

Megan sighs again as we begin our short walk to the bathrooms.

"What's up with you?" I ask when we are far enough from the tents that my parents won't hear.

"Oh gosh, you have no idea how amazing Eddy is. Izzy, he's so perfect and he just... He makes me feel... I can't explain it..." She babbles, sounding as if she's completely dazed.

"Well you seem to really like this guy Megz. Its not like all the other guys you've dated where you're pretty much bored with him after the first night." I say as we enter the bathrooms.

She's silent for a while and as we put our things on the bathroom sink she pauses. Then she looks up at me with a genuine smile on her face. I literally haven't seen her smile like that since we were 12 and found out that the Jonas Brothers were performing in our city.

"Izzy, I think he could be the one. I know this sounds crazy but I've never felt this way with anyone ever before. It's just this unexplainable feeling."

I smile. "I'm happy for you." Believe me I'm not one to judge. I believe in love at first sight so I would never consider this sort of thing crazy.

Then she breaks out into a huge grin. "So hows Harry?" She raises her eyebrows at me.

I clear my throat as I look down trying to hold back my emotions. "I...uh."

She frowns. "What? Oh gosh please don't tell me you lost your virginity before me?"

I nearly choke on air at what she just said, " No! No, no, no! Not anything like that! No! I just... I really don't want to talk about it." I plead.

"Ok well I'm really sorry for whatever it is. If you need to talk just let me know, okay?"

I nod. "Thanks Megz."

"And if you need me to kick his ass don't ever hesitate to ask." She smiles before rinsing her face with water.

I laugh then climb into the shower, "I'll definitely keep that in mind."

After the warm,refreshing shower Megan ditches me because her and Eddy have plans for today while I head back to our camp to pick up Will. I almost forgot about the deal I made with my brother last night to go to the lake and swim with him.

I put my things down and call Will to see that he's already standing there waiting for me. Our parents are sitting at the camp chairs nearby with coffee in their hands laughing before noticing Will and I standing nearby. Surprisingly Josh is no where to be seen.
