Chapter 28:Our Family Encounters

I wake up to the sound of Harry's breathing coming from behind me, his body is still curled up into mine, the way we fell asleep in his car last night.

Releasing myself from his grip gently I sit up and rub the sleep out of my eyes, as Harry slowly awakens beside me.

"Are you going to leave me here alone and run off before I wake up?" He sarcastically comments with his half asleep tone.

"Well damn, the plan is ruined now, you shouldn't have woken up." I shrug my shoulders and smirk at him as he sits up and runs his hands through his hair, trying to fix the mess that it is.

"We should probably get back, the storm has calmed and I'm pretty sure your parents are probably worried where you are." Harry says while gently running his fingers up my arm.

"Well if you do this any longer I might not want to leave." I comment before leaning into him and placing my lips on his.

"I would but I don't want your dad to have my head." Harry replies against my lips.

"Then we should probably get going." I smile against his lips before pulling away.

We both make sure we look all together and not like we were intimately together last night before climbing out Harry's car into the cold.

Harry's hand immediately grasps mine as he leads us in the direction of the lake house.

"You think he'll be mad?" Harry asks as we cross the parking lot that is covered by a layer of snow from the storm last night.

"Probably, but I don't care, I'm standing up to him, he can't keep me away from you and we can't hide this from him forever."

We reach the lake house and step onto the deck, walking towards the door I'm dreading the worst.

Harry opens up the main door and allows me to step inside as he follows behind me.

My family is downstairs talking to Eddy and Megan as well as Eddy's parents, they seem really stressed until mom turns around and sees me.

"Isabella! Oh thank goodness you're okay! Your father and I were worried sick!" Mom runs up to me and gives me a tight hug.

My dad turns around quickly, before his face becomes stern and angry as he notices Harry standing behind me.

"Where were you?" My dad asks in a stern tone.

"I went out for a walk to get some fresh air, the storm picked up and I couldn't find my way back."

"So why are you with him then?" He replies with a question, still angry.

"Dad, he was the one who made sure I had somewhere safe to stay during the storm and he promised to make sure I got back here as soon as the storm stopped." I reply, trying to keep my tone neutral.

My dad eyes Harry out before nodding his head slowly.

"Well thank you Harry, for making sure my daughter was safe." His reply completely shocks me and I can see Harry is just as surprised at how calm my dad is right now.

Harry, standing with his hands behind his back and his skew feet, nods in return,
"My pleasure sir. I have a sister of my own and I know how stressed my parents were when she was out alone."

For Harry to mention his parents to anyone is huge, he's being so open right now and it honestly just made him more attractive than he already is.

"We certainly were very worried-" before my dad could finish his sentence I see a lady with the same facial features as Harry step into the room with an older man that looks nothing like Harry.

"Harry! You didn't let us know if you were okay last night! We've been looking for you all morning." The lady runs up to Harry but restrains from giving him a hug and instead places her hand up on his shoulder.

"The storm was really bad so we were worried about you being alone out there in your car!"

"I'm fine mum, it wasn't that bad." Harry mumbles, clearly frustrated.
I remember him saying his parents never really worried about him being out late on his own but I guess this storm scared them a little.

"Well I'm glad you're safe." Harry's mom says before turning to me.

"And who's this?" She asks sweetly with a smile and bright eyes.

Harry sighs before placing his hand on the small of my back, "This is Isabella, we met the first day here." I smile and reach my hand out to Harry's mom but she has other plans and instead pulls me in for a hug while introducing herself.

"I'm Anne, Harry's mom. And this is a Robin, Harry's... Uhh.. Stepdad." She seems unsure wether to reveal this info or not but Harry remains calm and nods his head with a blank expression on his face.

Just then, voices come from the stairs where the Braisons are coming down along with Josh and a blonde girl...Jade?

I didn't see that one coming.

The Braisons head straight towards us where I see Harry's mom suddenly stiffen.

Josh's mom looks in our direction and freezes before regaining her composure, "Anne, it's nice to see you here."

"It's been a while, Margret." Anne replies neutrally but for some reason I feel as if there's tension in the room.

"Well I would love to stay and chat but we were just heading out to grab an early lunch." Margret says before waving and exiting the lake house along with Mr Braison, Josh and Jade.

Harry's mom doesn't say another word before taking a deep breath, grabbing her husbands hand and storming out the lake house.

I grab Harrys hand again in mine, snapping him out of his trance.

"You want to get something to eat?" I ask with a smile.

He looks down at me with a frown and nods.

"You okay?" I ask him as we walk towards Eddy and Megan who are sitting on a sofa across the room together.

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine. " he nods and squeezes my hand gently.

We reach Eddy and Megan, "You guys wanna join us for lunch?"

"Sure! I'm glad you're back Izzy, your parents grilled us this morning when they found out you hadn't come back." Eddy says as he pulls Megan up from the sofa.

"I'm sorry! Thanks for covering for me though!" I smile at them both.

"What did you guys do anyways?" Megan asks Harry as we turn around and walk towards the main door.

Harry looks down at me and smiles as I blush, "Just had some fun." He comments before opening the door for all of us.

"Speaking of fun, I found out there's gonna be a huge party in the town's local nightclub on Thursday. We should all go." Eddy suggests.

"Sounds good." I reply as we walk across the deck and into the woods towards the cafeteria.

I'm not usually a party girl, like I've mentioned a million times before, but I've kind of gone against my ways lately and I know it'll be fun with Harry. Maybe a night out on the town will be good for us all.

"Hay, after lunch I'm gonna head back to my stuff and shower up, get into new clothes and all that. There's no party tonight so I'll either come fetch you from the lake house or your tent if everyone decides to set up again. Otherwise I'll find you in the morning okay?" Harry talks softly near my ear.

I nod and smile before he gently kisses me on the cheek, everything is falling into place perfectly. My dad okay with Harry suddenly, Josh has Jade, Megan has Eddy, Zayn has disappeared for now and most importantly Harry and I are inseparable.

The last few days have been crazy even though the boys are on hiatus! 2016 better be less drama than 2015!

We will try to update more regularly as we get back into our everyday routines.
