"Isabella Thomas! Where have you been all night?! You were supposed to get back from that hike hours ago!" Dad blows up before we even reach him.

"Dad I can expl-" I try start my explanation but Harry intervenes.

"It was my fault sir." Harry takes the blame.

"It sure was! What makes you think you can take my daughter out late in the evening and not show up until the next morning!?"

I've never been one to fight with or scream at my parents but I'm not going to let Harry take all the blame, "Dad we were talking and lost track of the others, so we ended up lost. We couldn't find our way back to camp in the dark."

My dad seemed speechless at first before he replied, "I don't want you spending time with this boy again. Josh warned me that he was trouble."

"Excuse me?" I ask angrily. I felt Harry's hand rest on the small of my back as if to calm me down.

"I said, you will not see this boy again. He is trouble and is only causing feuds between us."

"He is not causing anything! You're just judging him based on what 'innocent' Josh told you!" I've never been this mad at my dad before. Where is my mom? She's usually the sensible one.

"Isabella this conversation is over. Say goodbye to him and go get dressed for the day. We are having a family lunch at the lake."

I shake my head,"No, I'm not going. I'm 18 dad, I'm not a child anymore!"

"As long as you are living in our household you are a child and will abide by our rules." My dad replies before turning on his heels and making his way back to his tent.

I stand for a few seconds in silence, thinking through what just happened. There is no way I'm going to stay away from Harry, wether my parents like it or not.

I turn slowly to face Harry and look up at him. His face is one of pure calmness. His gentle green eyes look down at me and a small smile appears.

"Don't look so worried Bella." He says soothingly as he reaches out and tucks a loose strand of hair behind my ear.

"But I don't want to stay away from you..." I take a deep breath to try gain composure.

"Then don't." He replies softly.

I frown, "But you heard what-"

"We just have to be more careful about when and where we see each other." He whispers while holding my hands in his.

I grin at his response, "Aren't you also going to be in trouble with your parents?"

"They probably didn't notice." A sad smile now takes up his face.

I nod slowly and wish I could ask him more about his family and past and childhood.

"Well when will I see you then?" I ask, trying not to sound desperate.

"Would you be able to sneak out tonight?" He surprises me by asking.

"I might. Why?"

"The lake house party, we could meet up there. Maybe you and Megan could say you're going to the bonfire activity tonight?"

"Okay. Where is Megan anyways?" The last time I saw her was when Harry and I were getting ready to yo to the hike. She said she'd probably go to the lake house party again with Eddy.

Harry smiles deviously, "Eddy surprised her to a date last night."

"Really?" Harry nods, "She's never going to shut up now." We both laugh.

"So I'll see you later then?" I ask with a genuine smile.

"Absolutely." Harry whispers before leaning forward and slowly planting a peck on my cold lips.

He hands me my backpack before walking away with a smirk. I watch him walk into the woods before walking myself back to my tent. I climb inside and lay down on my comfy stretcher bed. After a few seconds of relaxation I sit up and grab the backpack, checking for my lipgloss. I open the bag and the first thing I see is my jacket.

Then I realize that I'm still wearing Harry's hoodie. I smile immediately. Harry lied just so that I would wear his hoodie and cuddle with him. Clever. I need to applaud him for it later.

Getting all my things together I stand up and make my way out of the tent and towards the bathrooms.

Within minutes I have showered and gotten into clean clothes, ready for the family lunch I'm supposed to attend.

I walk back to the tent to see Will starting to carry some of the camping chairs towards the lake, but struggling to hold them all.

I walk over to him and take a few out his hands.

"Thanks." He says with a huff, "I didn't think you would come. I thought you'd be with Harry?"

"No, dad says I'm not allowed to see him anymore." I reply honestly.

Will stops and looks at me "What? But he's such a nice guy."

I nod my head, "Yeah. Wait, how would you know. You've only seen him like once."

"No, the other day while you were getting ready to go on your hike I was sitting alone and he came and asked me if I wanted to play with the football. So we threw the ball around and spoke. He's really nice but his coordination sucks. He fell over at least 4 times." Will laughs as if thinking back to that time.

I can't believe this. Why wouldn't Harry tell me about this after being so nice to my brother? It's the sweetest thing I've ever heard.

"What did you speak about?" I ask curiously.

"Nothing much, he just asked about you, me and all that stuff."

I smile at the ground as we near the lake, "He asked things about me? Like what?"

"I'm not saying anything. Part of the brother code." Will shakes his head and laughs.

"Brother code?"

"Yeah that's what Harry said." Will places the chairs down on the bank of the river.

I smile at his words. Harry basically called Will a brother. I'm baffled by how sweet he is right now.

Our parents join a few minutes later, followed by the Braisons including Josh.

He smiles at me but I roll my eyes and ignore him. Whatever he told dad is the reason why my dad now won't let me see Harry.

Megan comes waltzing from the woods and sits down on a camp chair beside me, grinning from ear to ear.

"Well hello friend!" I say sarcastically.

"Oh hey. Apparently you had an interesting night." She replies with a grin.

I shake my head, "And apparently so did you."

We both laugh at each other before our parents join us, sitting a few feet away from us in their own conversation.

"So the plan for tonight is that we are telling them that we are going to the bonfire activity, but really we are going to the party." I whisper so only she can hear.

"Sounds good." She nods her head. "Wow, someone is becoming quite the rebel."

I laugh at her and shake my head.

We then continue with lunch time while Josh glares at me continuously. I choose to ignore him because no matter how hard he tries, I will not let him interfere with Harry and I. He's already caused me enough pain, I don't think I could handle anymore.
