I have spent four days on this island now, and in these few days I have learned about the 100-year war from Suki, I have also found out that I am 112 years old, which is great, I have always wanted to be an elderly woman.

She told me about how the fire nation became greedy and wanted power and how they want to rule all four nations to build the ultimate nation.
I felt angry at myself as she informed me, angry that I was not there to help to prevent the war, that I could not help the people in need and now so many people have suffered because I didn't do my job as the avatar.

Suki also told me how the fire nation had wanted the avatar dead, and the reasoning as to why they destroyed all four air temples and killing all air benders was because they were hoping to kill the avatar.

Which unfortunately for them, did not really work out.

But I guess now with all the air temples gone it solidifies a terrifying thought, I am the only air bender left; I am now alone.

I had become good friends with Suki, I am glad I managed to find someone so kind in what seems to be a cruel world right now.

Although I had been shown such kind hospitality, I began to feel I had over-stayed my welcome. I was beginning to feel anxious that I was also wasting my time just relaxing on an island when I need to be focusing on mastering three more elements.

I had a war I needed to face.

I came to the decision that I was going to have to leave Kyoshi island and make my way to the northern water tribe. Water was the next element I needed to master, according to the sisters at my home air temple. I knew it wouldn't be a straightforward journey, I'd probably have to make a few pit stops along the way and find other means of travel than air bending, but I know I can do it.

I informed Suki of my decision.

"it's been an honour to be in your presence, avatar Ky" Suki said as she bowed to me, the other Kyoshi warriors following suit. "It was an honour to be in yours" I said as I smiled, bowing in return, "your hospitality is unmatched." I added, incredibly grateful for all they had done for me these past few days, as well as the bag they had given me, full of different foods and water to keep me going for the start of my journey.

"We hope to see you soon" Suki said, "don't worry, I will retu-" before I could finish my sentence I was cut off by a man who looked in a hurry, "Kyoshi warriors, come quick! there are intruders on our beach!" he said rapidly. "How many?" one of the girls asked, "three" he replied, "okay, we'll go now," Suki assured before turning back to face me, "goodbye, Ky." she said, giving me a nod before she ran towards the beach.

I smiled and waved as she and the others ran towards the beach, when she was out of sight I spun my staff to open my glider and then I took off into the air, bag over my shoulder.

I flew over the beach to see how Suki and the other warriors were doing and I saw them tying up three people. I wonder what they did to be tied up.

I had now been flying around for a while, if I had to guess I would say a couple of hours but who's to know? I was hoping to find something soon, or at least someone. Man, I'm beginning to get really tired from all this air bending.
I was staring down at the ground from fifty-five feet above, when I saw a ditch, and in that ditch was a teenage boy, earth bending! Surely that means there a town nearby!

"Hey!" I called out, as I came closer to the ground, the boy looked around to try to find the source of the voice looking very confused. "Hey!" I called out again, I landed behind him and as I did I turned my staff back to normal.
He turned around and saw me, his eyes widened and then he started to run away, "hey! no! wait don't run, please, I just want to find a town! I am so tired please! I miss sleep!" I called as I ran after him, I started to slow down as I ran out of breath.
