Chapter 4: Missing

From Anna: I'm really sorry, I shouldn't have just walked off, it's just that something else happened today. :)

I was confused.

Why was she sorry? She did nothing wrong. And what else happened? I had to find out.

Niall was staring at me with a blank face.

"What?" I said

" oh nothing, you just seem.. Wierd all of a sudden"

"I'm fine" I said, lying

" look, I better go, it's getting late" he said, getting up from my bed

" see ya"

"Oh and keep me up to date with you and Anna" he said with a smirk while walking out my bedroom door

"Shut up" I groaned, throwing a pillow at him. I could hear him laughing all the way down the hallway.

I was thinking to myself what I should say to Anna. In the end I decided to say: I should be the one who's sorry, you did nothing wrong. What happened?

It wasn't long before she replied: its ok, ill pretend it never happened:) I can't say it over a text, and anyways it's nothing major. Ill tell you tomorrow, you can come to Nina's house with me. We're going watching a movie. I'm sure she won't mind you comming:)

I smiled to myself: of course ill come! Goodnight Anna-bear! Sleep tight!;)

I put my phone on the table next to my bed and buried my head into my pillow. I couldn't get to sleep, I kept thinking about Anna. I couldn't wait to see her tomorrow, to see those lovely green eyes and to hear her soft, sweet voice. I just wished she felt the same way, but she would never love me. I'm not her type. I'm considered the bad boy of our school. Alot of people were scared of me.

I woke the next morning to my phone ringing.

"Hello" I said in a deep morning voice

"Zayn, come quickly, Anna's missing her parent woke up this morning and she wasn't at home and no one knows where she is" Nina blurted out, crying

"What?! I'll be right there"

"Ok, hurry" she said and hung up

I jumped out of bed and put on a hoody and sweats. I grabbed my car keys and ran out the door, not bothering to tell anyone. All I was worried about now was Anna.

As I drove to her house, I wondered about what she wanted to tell me last night. Was it important?

I pulled up in her driveway, and saw police cars and groups of people gathered outside her house. I started getting really worried.

I opened the car door and hopped out. I looked down the street and saw three guys in hoodies looking a bit suspicious. They seemed to be watching the house. They all had their hoods up so I couldn't see their faces, but I could see curls popping out from one of the guys hoods. I had a bad feeling about them but I just ignored them.

I walked up to the crowd of people. I could clearly see Nialls blonde hair amongst the group. I called his name and he looked over at me. He started walking towards me.

" hey Niall, whats happening, Nina called me"

Niall was talking to me but I couldn't hear what he was saying with everyone else so we walked Down the street a bit. We stopped across from the three guys I saw earlier, they were looking over at us. Just when Niall was about to talk, I heard a girl screaming from a black car across the street.

"Did you hear that Niall " I asked him

"Ya, it's comming from that black car over there"

Just as he said that the three guys started running away.

" Niall, go after them , I'll check the car!" I shouted at him

Niall ran down the street after them.

I ran over to the car. I tried opening the door but it was locked. I heard another scream and crying comming from there so i smashed the window open with my fist, blood dripping from my knuckles.

Inside there was a familiar girl tied up, with tape covering her mouth. Her eyes were red from crying.

"Anna?"
