Chapter 7: The Hospital

"What do you mean you ran from him?" Zayn asked with a puzzled look on his face

"I was walking home from scho-"

"Annawherewereyouwewerelookingforyouforhours!" Mom was crying running towards me hugging so tightly I couldn't breath

"I went for a walk and got lost, but Zayn found me" I said looking at Zayn and giving him the eye so he would hopefully go along with it

"Ya" is all Zayn said

"But I rang you hundreds of times and you diddnt answer?" She looked at me confused

"I left my phone at home" I said giving her a small smile

"We'll we better get you home sweetie, thanks Zayn, your a good friend to our Anna" mom said giving Zayn a small hug. Well we were more than friends now!

"It's ok Mrs. Baker" he hugged her back

**Two hours later**

"We better go to the hospital Zayn to see how Niall is doing" I said kissing his cheek and getting up from sitting on his lap

"Sure lets go" he grinned and put his hands around my waist and pulling me back down to give a passoniate kiss on the lips.

*** At the Hospital ***

"We're here for Niall Horan" I said to the woman at the reception

"What's your name?" She asked

"Anna Baker"

" Well Ms Baker, You can see him in a miniute, please take a seat in the waiting room" she said and pointed to a door

"Ok thanks" I said and we walked towards to the room. There was no one in the waiting room only an old man asleep on the seats in the corner.

"Guess we're alone then" Zayn said with a smirk

"I guess so"

We sat down on the chairs and Zayn intertwined our fingers.

"What were you going to say about 'Curly' before your mom came?" Zayn asked

"It doesn't matter, it's nothing" I said looking at the floor away from his gaze

" please tell me Anna"

"Fine, but don't overreact, it's not a big deal" I said looking back up at him

"I won't, I promise" Zayn said looking deep into my eyes

"We'll I was walking home from school and a car pulled up next to me. It was 'Curly'. He asked if I wanted a ride home and I said yes cuz he seemed nice. I reached for the handle, but all these thoughts came into my head like what if he murdered me?" Zayn was now staring at me that I felt really uncomfortable

" so I just ran and ended up in that town and called you" I said glad to finally tell him

" I will find him" Zayn said furiously

"Zayn, don't! I knew I shouldn't have tod you. Your gonna get yourself hurt. Diddnt you see what he did to Niall? He nearly killed him and you could end up seriously injured or worse...Dead" I screamed tears poring out my eyes

"Fine I won't. But I know for a fact that he will come back" Zayn said sounding hurt

"Ms Baker?" The receptionist called comming into the room

" Yes" I said standing up and wiping the tears from my eyes

"You can see him now" I got up and walked out the door leaving Zayn follow behind me.

A nurse brought us into Nialls room. She opened the door and we could see Niall lying in bed with bandages all over him and wires hooked into his hands.

"Hello" he said in his Irish accent sounding relieved that we came

"Hey Niall" Zayn said. We sat down in chairs next to his bed.

"How are you feeling?" I asked

" Not very good" he said

" I'm sorry what happened Niall, it's all my fault" I told him

"Anna, don't blame yourself it's not your fault" he said smiling. I smiled back. All of a sudden out of nowhere he started shaking.

"Niall" Zayn shouted "Call a nurse"

I did what he said and went to get a nurse. A few miniutes later I came back with the same nurse that brought us in.

"I need ye to leave" she told us. I was crying at this stage. I grabbed Zayns hand and led him out the door but he pulled back.

"Zayn come on , she told us to go" I said looking up at him

"You can't expect us to leave!" He screamed, tears rolling down his face. " after all it's your fault he's here in the first place"

"Get out, you must wait in the waiting room" the nurse told us again

"No I must stay with my friend!" Zayn shouted back at her

"Sir, you must leave now or ill call security" she warned

"Fine then call them! See what I care!" He pushed pased her and walked towards Niall who was now surrounded by doctors. I diddnt want to say anymore I was scared of him.

Moments later he was escorted by security into the waiting room. We sat there in silence, waiting for news to come back about Niall. It seemed like hours until Zayn broke the silence.

"I'm sorry for shouting at you like that" he said without looking at me

"It's fine, you were right, it was my fault" I said sighing

"No baby, don't blame yourself! It's that curly haired physopaths fault" he said about to give me a kiss when a doctor came into the room and sat next to Zayn.

"What's the news, is he ok?" Zayn asked immediately

"I'm afraid it's bad news" he said sadly, I knew what was comming next and I'm sure Zayn did too by the way he was squeezing my hand tightly.

"We tried all we could, but he diddnt make it"
