Chapter 3: Awkward silence

***Anna's POV***

I looked up and saw zayn walking towards me, I was so glad to see him. I wasn't sure if I should tell him what happened because he'd probably hunt him down and seriously hurt him. Zayns a very protective guy, which is sometimes good but it can get him in alot of trouble. He gets very angry over small things and it can be scary but we all know that he doesn't mean it.

" hello. Anna??"

"What...oh sorry zayn I zoned out there for a while" I said not knowing how long he was standing there for.

"So are you ok, how did you get all the way over here?" He asked

"Am...I was visiting a friend, my mom dropped me over and she told me to get the bus back but I missed it"

" ok" he said with a smile.

The walk back to the car was awkward for some reason, we diddnt talk which was unusual. I'm usually blabbing on about silly stuff while he just listened.

He unlocked the car and we both hopped in. The drive back to my house was also silent, but not for long. I was looking out the window when I felt something touch my thigh, I looked over at Zayn to see his hand resting on my leg. I diddnt know what to do so i just cleared my throat and he turned his head to look at me.

Then he suddenly moved it back to the steering wheel and he was blushing quite alot.

*** Zayn's POV****

What came over me! I shouldn't have done that, she'll probably hate me now. We pulled up in her driveway and she looked over at me. Both of us diddnt know what to say. She just said thanks and left. Nothing else just thanks. I don't blame her, I obviously shocked her. We never had any feelings for each other before, we were always just friends and nothing else.

That night I was lying in bed. I wasn't sure if I should text her or not but I did anyway.

I said " hi how are you?"

As I waited for her to reply, I heard a knock on my door.

" come in "

Niall walked in.

" hey Niall"

"Hey zayn"

"So why are you here?"

"I wanted to talk to you about something" he said

"Sure whats wrong?"

"Anna told me what happened in the car"

"She did what?"

"Ya she didn't seem herself so I asked her what was wrong and she told me"

"It wasn't a big deal, I diddnt mean to do it...it just happened"

" I know, let's just forget it" he said with a smile.

Just as he said it, my phone buzzed. It was a text from Anna.
