Awkward

I woke up in my bed, good thing I did, if I did not wake up in my bed I would freak out. I sat up to pick up my phone from the side of my bed. I checked the time to see it was about 8:00 AM. Well, it was probably a better time to wake up than at five in the morning. I looked to the back of my room. I saw the laptop that belonged to Josh. I stared at the laptop for a few moments then turned my head away from it.

I got out of my room to see Tony sitting on the couch. He turned as I entered the room. Tony gave me a wide smile as he saw me walk to the couch. I knew what he was thinking. He probably still thinks that I dated Flavia last night when I really dated Juniper. I sighed as I sat down on the chair nearby my computer desk.

"So," Tony said while still staring at me with his wife smile, "How was shy girl?"

"Well, I did date someone last night but it was not Flavia," I replied rolling my eyes. It was normal for the best friend character in a movie to tease the main character about their first date. I went along with what he was teasing me about.

"What do you mean?" His wide smile was changed to a concerned face, "Did to break up with her and ask somebody else out in front of her. That is a douche move and that is not nice." He told me with a confused look in what could have happened last night.

"No, she broke up with me and after the cancellation of our relationship I got together with Juniper when she asked me out right in front of P F Chang's." I replied as I started my computer to boot it up.

"Oh, so you got together with the German girl. Nice, did you take my advice?"

"Yes, I did."

"Good, now it may be time for you to go shopping."

"Shopping for what?"

"You want little Viceman's running around when you are still in college?"

"No..." I know exactly where he is getting at. That was a great idea. I would at least want to be married before I have children.

"Alright, try to make sure no one you know is nearby when you do this."

"That would be embarrassing."

"One time when I went to buy those carrot top was nearby."

"You mean Danielle?"

"Yeah her. It was awkward to say the truth since she saw the box in my hand. She asked if you were doing fine and I replied that you are."

"She still has Stalker tendencies."

I saw Tony's face and he looked serious. He told me in a tone of voice I had never heard from Tony before, "It seems like Danielle is trying to hide something. When she asked about you I noticed something strange, she was cold sweating when she asked me that question. Did something happen between you two?"

I had to quickly respond before he gets to the conclusion that I am hiding something from him. I did not want Tony to figure out about what happened during Halloween. I replied trying to not give out my lying tone of voice, "I don't know, maybe she likes me or something." Please, let that work.

"Yeah,that's probably it."

Alright, it worked. We chatted for a bit about classes and how basketball practice was for Tony. The boring talk that sometimes had annoyed me. If I had told him the truth in why she was wondering if I was okay, the boring talk would be something that may get him killed. We talked for a little while and then Tony left to get to basketball practice.
