Chapter 29: Strange.

Your POV:

You scan the bus real quick to expect glares (and Nico.) but instead everyone was busy talking with each other.
Nico wasn't here.

Confused, you looked around one more time but no. All you heard were sounds of kids talking with each other.

And even if they were talking it wasn't about you.

It's like-

"Y/n, c'mon lets go." Malcolm insisted gently tugging your arm, tugging it to two seats in the back. By this point, you were very dazed that all you did was nod.

Maybe they forgot.... All of them?.

You then sat next to Malcolm. "What's the matter?" Malcolm asked. You then faced him, "Don't you get a strange vibe here? Like why isn't anyone looking at me, throwing stuff at me, bullying me?!" You replied.

Malcolm looked down for a second but then looked at your (e/c) eyes. "I don't know. Look, lets just get to school and everything is going to be... Good." He said, you just looked at him, completely aggrieved.

"Please." He whispered, maybe a bit too close to your ear. Some shivers went down your spine. "S- sure." You said but in your mind your praying for all these questions to be answered.

You don't know what's going on with this grade. Everything was normal before. Well better than this. Why now?.

The bus then arrived at the school and all the student quickly dismissed theirselves. You and Malcolm got out last.

Malcolm gently smiled at you. "I'm sorry what happened back there. I shouldn't of acted like that." He said looking at the ground.

"It's okay. I get it." You said as he slowly nodded and wrapped his hand in yours. Your eyes widen.

Malcolm in the other hand, didn't really care. Well he kinda did. He never experienced this. While solely reading under a tree or somewhere he would see couples do this, so he thought this was the correct thing he could do.

Hiding his embarrassment, he gently smiled at you. "Let's get going." He said along with a small laugh. You smiled back and let him bring you inside school.

(Not only did Malcolm do that because he saw that in camp... because he loved your warmed too.)
