Chapter 45 | The Dance | Pt 1 | Crash

"I guess this is it." Nico sighed.

He opened the bathroom door slowly turning the shower faucet on. Eyes bloodshot from crying, he felt dead. His voice was hoarse, his face was dull, his hair was a mess and he still dread on the thought of going to the dance.

He undressed and got into the shower. He spread the soap bar on his body as the water touched his pale skin. "Don't cry." He repeatedly told himself.

Once he was out of the shower he dried himself and got changed into a suit he didn't pick out but just found. Dead to realize he just put it on. He then got the black and white masquerade mask from his bed.

Yes, not even asking myself how that got there.  

Bianca finally opened her door and looked at him. Her eyes widened, "Oh the dance! You're going on your motorcycle right?!" She questioned.

Nico nodded, hanging his head low. His eyes were still a bit red. "Well have fun." Bianca told him giving him a warm hug. "I love you." She tells him.

He slightly smiles, hugging her back. He then went to the front door.

The loud engine started, Nico hopped on the seat and put on his helmet even though he hated wearing it. Nico then went straight, looking right to left. Since it was 7:30 the sun went down and it started to get dark. Nico then came across an empty road.

He stopped when the red light flicked on. For once, he was actually following the rules.

Nico's mind then got clouded with thoughts about the dance. His mind got clouded with other things also.

Too many things kept on clouding his thoughts that he didn't notice the red light switching to green and a large rock being thrown behind the bushes.

When it hit the ground, startled, Nico accidentally hit the brake. 

A white delivery bus came by and seeing a young man on a motorcycle not driving at all he too hid the brake... But too late.

Nico looked to the right and saw the huge vehicle.

Lights flashed

Then there came a big crash.
