You and Daehyun have known each other since you guys were about 10 because of your parents. They were close. You and Daehyun have been dating for about 4 years but you guys had break up because Daehyun moved to be a singer. And you lost in contact with him.
It is 2013. The last time you met Daehyun was 2011. You miss him alot but you lost contact with him because he was too busy with his schedules. Your birthday is tomorrow and you were reminded of the past. Whenever it was your birthday, Daehyun always used bring you to concerts or musicals and give you presents. You sighed and just looked at your books. But then you couldn’t concentrate somehow. You stood up and packed your books and went out of the library. You carried your bag and started to walk slowly. As you were walking, you took out your phone and you were looking through your messages. Then you went to your photos and looked through the photos. You saw a lot of photos of you and Daehyun. You smiled like an idiot and kept on walking. Then your best friend, Seri ran to you and shouted your name. She asked, ‘Hey it’s your birthday tomorrow right?”. You smiled and said, ‘Yeah, im probably gonna stay at home haha”. She smiled and said, “No, you are coming with me tomorrow.”. You asked, “Where?”. Seri said, “You’ll see. It will probably be your best present ever.”. You looked at her and she said, “Do you want to sleep over at my house?”. You smiled and nodded.
When you guys arrived at Seri’s house, you both just sat on the couch. You were drinking juice and then Seri asked, “Hey.... Do you miss Daehyun?”. You scoffen and asked, “Pfft why?”. She smiled a bit and asked “You know just... Do you?”. You said, “Well obviously, i haven’t seen him for 2 years.”. She asked, “Do you still have feelings for him?”. You said, “i dont know”. Seri asked, “If he asked you out again, would you say yes?”. You said, “Pfft i can’t even meet him. I dont even know where he is.”. Seri said, “yeah.. you’re right. I’m going to shower”. And she went into her bathroom.
It was the next day. You and Seri were getting ready to go. You just wore pink shirt and pink pants with a slipper. Seri shouted, “Yah!!!!!!! Are you crazy?? Get in and get changed!”. You asked, “Why? Where are we going?”. Seri said, “Lets just say we are going somewhere where all the hot guys are.”. You looked at her and said, “Ok. Ok.” and you went into her room. You and Seri’s body are similar, so any clothes fits you. You took out a dress that comes until your thigh. It was too short, so you decided to just wear pants. But then Seri shouted, “Oiii!!! Wear that!!! That black short dress!!!!”. You looked at Seri and she was wearing a short dress too. You said, “okkk but where are we going?”. Seri smiled and said, “You will see! OMG, just change, will you?”. You sighed and changed. Then you guys went into Seri’s car.
Then you guys arrived at some restaurant. You and Seri entered the restaurant. You asked while going in, “Why are we here?”, Seri smiled and said, “You’ll see” and you guys went in. As you guys went in, you saw all your friends there. Your high school friends, childhood friends. You were so happy to see them. You and Seri sat down and you guys were talking. Then Seri asked, “Is he here yet?”. Then one of the girl said, “He is on his way hehe”. You asked, “Who is “he”?”. Seri smiled and said, ‘You’ll see.”. You said, “Stop saying you’ll see!!! I wanna know so badly omg”. Seri smiled and you guys continued talking. Then as you guys were talking, Seri said, “Actually, this is your birthday party!! haha do you know how hard i tried to invite almost all the friends? haha”. You said, “Nawww omgg Seri~~~ I love you omggg thank youu”. And then one of your friend said, ‘He is here!”. You asked, ‘Who?’. Seri said, “Look pretty!!”. Then when you saw, Daehyun was there. He was coming this way. You couldn’t believe it. He was wearing sunglasses. You were so shocked. It’s been two years. You couldn’t believe it. You thought you would never be able to see him ever again..
Seri smiled and said, “Daehyun-ah!!”. Then as he came this way, you stood up and said, “I.. i need to use the toilet.” and you ran to the toilet. You went inside, feeling confused. You thought you were over him. You thought you didn’t like him anymore, but your heart started to pump really fast and your cheeks were going red. You took a big breath and went outside the toilet. You went back into the restaurant and sat down. Daehyun sat next to you and he said, “Happy birthday.”. You were frozen. You slowly took the present. Then the cake came. It said, “Happy 21st Birthday”. Then your friends began to sing. You were shy but confused at the same time. Then you blew the candle and the Seri put the cream on your nose. You guys all laughed and started to eat. The one of your friend said, looking at you and Daehyun. “How can a girl and a boy look so cute together? No wonder you guys dated haha but why did you guys break up?”. There was an awkward silence. You quickly said, ‘Because we wanted to stay as friends. haha. r..right?” and turned to Daehyun. He nodded a bit and continued to eat. Then one of your friend asked, “Daehyun-ah, do you have a girlfriend?”. Daehyun shook his head and said, “No we aren’t allowed to have one yet.”. You were relieved... somehow.
