Remmy woke up to a pounding sound.  She groaned and rolled over, pulling a pillow over her head.  The pounding came back.  When she realized it wasn't her head, and some one knocking at the door, she got up.  Nausea hit her hard as soon as her feet touched the ground.  She ran to the bathroom instead of answering the door and managed not to make a mess.  She sat back on the floor and tried not to move.

"Remmy, we need to leave shortly.  Please get ready."

One of the elders was here to claim her, to take her back home.  Remmy clutched her stomach and yelled back, "ten minutes."  She got up off the floor and cleaned herself up.  She looked at her image in the mirror.  Her hair had came undone and her dress was wrinkled.

She tried to remember the events of last night but it only came back in pieces.  Aldric would have never let her drink that much.  Remmy changed out of the dress and into the clothes she had laid out the night before, thanking herself for planning ahead.  She laid the dress out across the bed and grabbed her phone out of the clutch.  She checked it for messages or calls.

She gasped when she saw she had sent Aldric a picture of her panties around her ankles in the bathroom.  Her face turned a beet red.  The caption she put was, "I am keeping my panties this time."  Aldric hadn't responded, but she was sure she would hear about it when she saw him next.  She shoved her phone in her pocket, grabbed her bag and walked out the door.  The elder must have decided to wait for her in the car, so she made her way to the front door.

She walked down the hall and around the corner when Sean had spotted her.

"How are you feeling today Remmy?"

"Uhhhh. Please don't talk. It hurts."  Remmy pointed to her head and Sean chuckled at her.

"Next time don't drink so much."

They walked in silence for a moment before Sean spoke up again.

"Don't get settled back in at home."

Remmy gave him a look of questioning.

"I am going to make this right by you Remmy.  Don't think I took lightly what you told me last night.  I will talk to the others and make this right."

Remmy thought back to last night again and couldn't remember telling him anything that he would need to fix.  When she stayed silent, he took it as being untrustworthy.  He started, "Remmy, I" before she cut him off.

"I'm sorry Sean, I don't remember telling you anything last night.  I barely remember anything after my first dance."

Sean smiled at her sweetly.  "You were calling me Mr. Butler.  I had to carry you to your room."

Remmy covered her scrunched face with her hand.

"Um, thank you?"

Sean chuckled at her.  "After you feel asleep in the bathroom I thought it was necessary."

By that time they had made it to the front door of the castle and Sean opened the door for her and followed her outside to the town car.

"I'll be in touch Remmy.  And call me if you need anything."  He handed her his card and Remmy slipped it into her pocket without a glance.

"Thanks Sean."

Sean watched Remmy pull away until the car was out of his range of vision.  He sighed, hoping to relieve his tense muscles.  He turned back into the castle in search of his council.

He had to fix this before the crowning.  He needed to find the person who had tallied the votes and wrote the name on the now missing card.  They had selected someone anonymous, to keep the results hidden from any member of the council.  And he needed to find Dmetri, to see if he had had similar side effects.  Dmetri would be easy to find.  He was always in the library.

Sean walked in the library, his steps heavy and long.  He called out for Dmetri, but heard no noise.  He stepped up to the second floor and over to the lounge area.  Thinking about his next area to search, he turned to leave.  Sean was struck over the back of the head and his vision went dark before he hit the ground.

"Sean? Is that you?"  Dmetri called out from the first floor.

Sean's voice came down to Dmetri.  "Yes I wanted to talk to you about something."

The image of Sean walked down the staircase and approached Dmetri.  "I wanted to talk to you about moving up the crowning ceremony.  We haven't had a Ruler in decades, and the celebration after the crowning will last much longer than the one last night."

Dmetri smiled and clapped Sean on is back.  They turned to walk out of the library into the council chambers.

"According to the law, the crowning cannot happen for twenty four hours after the announcement, though I can see why you would want to do so."

"It's a good thing we write the laws then."

They both laughed as they walked down the hall.

"And after the crowning, I think I might take a vacation.  Some time away would do us all some good."

Dmetri raised an eyebrow at Sean.  "That Remmy girl get you as worked up as me?  I saw you leave with her last night."

Sean gave Dmetri a devilish grin.  "A gentleman never tells."
