"Marie-Elise! Where the heck did you put my laptop!?" I screamed at my roommate for the last time.
"Why? It's your birthday, the ballet world can wait." she replied, spinning in her pink dress.
In my own blue dress, I set my hands on my hips and glared at her, "Maybe so, but it's important. I have to call the boys."
"Why don't you call them your dads?" she asked, gliding lip gloss onto her plump lips in front of the bathroom mirror.
It had been ages since I had talked to them, being at college and all, but I had to today. Today I was eighteen.
"How hard would that be? Hey dad, father, papa, pops, and papi! They wouldn't even be able to tell themselves apart."
She laughed, "Still a bit thick."
"I love 'em for it!" I laughed, "So where are ya' takin' me?"
She sighed, laughing, "If I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise. Your laptop is on my bed."
I grabbed it, sat on the bed and set the laptop on my lap, "Thanks!"
Typing away, I pulled up Skype and called Liam's laptop. I talked to Marie-Elise while I waited and she pulled her red hair into a bun.
"Do you want your hair up?" she asked, smiling at her reflection.
"You know I hate pulling my hair up.....Or doing anything with it for that matter."
She laughed as the feed of five men came onto my screen.
"Daddys!!" I squealed.
Liam chuckled, sitting in the front, "Happy birthday, princess!"
"Thank you! I miss you guys!"
"We miss you more! Niall gets frustrated when he remembers that he can't just walk up to your room to see you." Louis pointed out.
"AW!" I placed my dark hand over my chest, "I love you, Nialler!"
Niall turned a crimson red, "Eh, it's true."
"Hey!" I blurted, "Guess what!"
"What?" they chorused.
"I am officially.....Unpacked!" I mocked an English accent as I spoke, making them laugh.
"Didn't you move in three months ago?" Zayn asked, knitting his eyebrows together.
I laughed, "I have a lot of junk!"
"She really does!" Marie-Elise yelled.
I threw her a look before continuing, "Marie-Elise is taking me out today. She told me to get dressed very pretty. I hate it." I pouted.
"Aw, come on! Stand up and show us!" Harry cheered.
I sighed, set the computer beside me and stood up, spinning in my bedazzled tulle dress, bright blue heels and messy hair.
"Marie-Elise, tell her she looks beautiful! She won't believe us!" Louis yelled loud enough for her to hear.
I pursed my lips and sat back down as she praised my looks, "Yo' too kind."
"Princess, we're sorry we can't be there for your birthday, but we love you." Liam spoke up, planting a pout on his lips.
I smiled, "I miss you guys, and I love you too."
"I, we, want you to know that our life was made so much better with you. I can't even believe how much you've changed our normal lives. I told you just after you came to live with us, I told you that I thought we would get a boring little boy....But I was glad we had you. That still stands, Bree. We love you." Niall smiled.
I wiped the tears from my eyes and sniffed, "Thank you.....You guys mean the world to me."
Marie-Elise sat down next to me, "Shouldn't we sing to her??"
Harry laughed, "1, 2, 3."
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Breana, happy birthday to you!" they sang perfectly.
I laughed and hugged Marie-Elise, "You guys rock, but we have to go." I blew a kiss, "Have fun on tour and I'll call you tonight."
We said goodbye and hung up. Marie-Elise and I stood up, glancing down at our metal legs, giggling. "Sisters." she whispered.
"With amazing parents." I whispered back.
"I wouldn't be here today without you, sissy." she hugged me tightly.
I laughed softly and hugged her back, "I would've destroyed myself if it wasn't for you, Rie."
"Now," she laughed and wiped her tears, "Lets go have tons of fun. We have to meet Bret down on campus for lunch."
I giggled, I hadn't seen my boyfriend for a week, "Can we go to Pierre's?"
"Why, it's the best French resturant in the world!" she declared.
"Eh, the best on campus!" we laughed, "But yes, of course!"
We looked at each other, smiling. Silently, we took each others hands and walked down to meet Bret.
