Moments pass
The clock hands spun
And it all broke loose
Time twisted backward
The past was the present
And what was now
Never was
Time passed
Lives flickered
Some getting stronger,
Others burning out
Leaves shriveled
Flowers shunk
And time paid its toll
Turning what once was
Into piles of dust
And decay
Tearing away lives
And clipping new lifelines
Bringing into perspective
What you really have
Because time can't steal memories
Just shroud them from us
Turn what is now
Into the past
And turn time around
And usher in a new era
That has but
Limited time
