Mark, my best friend and I were sitting on the couch playing videogames when the power went out. "Ahh! Jesus, that scared me!" I said laughing. Mark chuckled. I got up and looked out the window into LA. It's was pouring. "Oh my god! I love rain! We have to go on a walk!" I turned to him.
"But we'll get soaked in the rain!" He pouted, making me laugh. "I don't care. Put on some shoes, and lets go!" I grabbed his hand, seeing him blush out of the corner of my eye. After our shoes were on, we went outside, instantly getting wet.
We didn't care. I had so much fun, just playing in the rain with the most wonderful man on earth. He just didn't know it. "Hey, (y/n). I wanna show you something. Come on!" He grabbed my hand pulling me with him, my face heating up.
We walked for a while, him still not letting go of my hand. We came up to a place, not far from my house. I lived on the edge of the city, so seeing a little forest just outside of it was normal. He pulled me under a tree, and layed down. We didn't care about the puddles, it was still really warm in LA and we were already soaked.
I layed down with him, looking up at the rainy sky. "This is beautiful." I said. "You're beautiful." He replied, making my face go red. We just layed in silence for a while, then he suddenly sat up.
"Whats wrong?" I asked sitting up with him. He turned to me and cupped my cheek. Then he kissed me. Obviously I kissed back, I've been in love with him for two years! My arms snaked around his neck, ruffling his floof. He put his hands around my waist, pulling me closer.
We smiled through the kiss, pulling apart. Sadly, all good things must come to an end. "(Y/n), I've been in love with you since I met you. I can't hold back anymore. I love you."
I smiled sweetly, making him smile too. "I love you too, Mark." He pulled me in for another kiss, the rain pouring still. This kiss was even more passionate than the first, making fireworks go off in my head. After we parted, he spoke.
"You have no idea how long I've wanted to do that."
