Rainy Days are the Best

Mark, my best friend, was over at my apartment on the fifth floor, playing videogames with me today. We were having fun screaming at each other and annoying ourselves, when randomly, the power went out. I jump. "What the hell? Did the power just go out?" "No dip, Mark." We laughed.

Lightning. I jump again, and Mark grabs my hand, making me blush. "Don't worry (y/n), I gotcha." I giggled. "Why thank you, kind sir." I could hear the rain hitting the ground outside, and I walked out onto the balcony.

I've always loved the rain. It was just so calming, and peaceful. "Man, I've always loved rain. It's just so beautiful." It smelled good too.

Mark chuckled. "I love the rain too.... But not as much as I love you." He mumbled the last part, and I didn't hear him. "What? Speek up." Mark just blushed, and didn't say anything. I smiled.

We were out there for a good hour, just listening to the rain, making small talk. It was really nice. "Hey, (y/n), can... Can I tell you something?"

"Sure, what is it Mark?" He seemed nervous. But why?

"I know I haven't exactly known you for that long, but... I really enjoy spending time with you. When I'm around you, I have this ridiculous smile that I can't wipe off my face... You make me really happy. And... I really, really, like you." Wait. Mark likes me? This is unreal.

I didn't say anything. I cupped his cheeks, and pulled him into a kiss. He didn't do anything for a second, then he wrapped his arms around my waist.

Fireworks, sparks, whatever you want to call them, they were there. I didn't know what to do.

After a bit, we pulled away, smiling. "(Y/n)... Will you be my girlfriend?" I smiled, and kissed him again. This time, he kissed back instantly, deepening the kiss.

We parted, foreheads still touching."does that answer your question?" I giggle. He smiles, and replies, "yes. And it was so worth it confessing to you."

And his lips were on mine again. They were so soft. For the rest of the day, we just sat on the balcony, cuddling and watching the rain together.

I always loved spending time with Mark, because we could have moments like these together, and it was honestly priceless to me. I loved it. I loved him.

Oh my god I'm having writers block so bad!!!!! I've been so unmotivated to do things, and school is starting in a week too. Ugh! I do love this chapter though, and I hope you did too. It's currently raining outside, and I have my window open so I can smell the rain. That's where I got this idea from! I love rain so much. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the chapter... Buh BYE! :3
