Prologue
The crunching of dead leaves brought her into consciousness. The forest swayed and blurred before her vision. Darkness hung over the forest like a thick dark cloud engulfing the world. The night is silent as the smell of dense leaves invaded her senses. Hope gasped like she'd been under water for a long time. Her body was stiff and damp with sweat as she scrambled on the ground, her fingers clutching the earth. Hopes lips felt like parchment against her fingers and her throat was thick making it hard to swallow. Shakily she stood, her head throbbed and she clutched it. Fingers raking through her leaf littered hair. The throb that pulsated at the base of her skull was too fast it making thinking difficult. A rustle in the trees averts her attention. A figure. Hooded. Armaros. These were the last things she saw before her world was engulfed in darkness as the ground met her face. Sprawled on the forest floor she felt exposed and weak. Even in unconscious form she felt numbness spiralling up her legs. In her unconscious state she was distantly aware of a hand. Crawling its way around her neck. A hoarse whisper.
"You'll wish I killed you now."
Her breath hitched before her mind surrendered to the darkness.Hey guys,
