"Hello Belleville hospital how may I help you?"
"Umm you had called me and I'm unsure why."
"Can I get your last name?"
"Iero"
"Well Mr. Iero I'm sorry to say but your mother had came in last night and she passed away. I'm terribly sorry."
I dropped my phone and my mouth hung open. Tears welled in my eyes and I dropped to my knees. I picked my phone up and hung up. I took off running as fast as I could toward my house.
I threw the door open and ran to my bathroom. I grabbed a razor and a joint. I slammed the razor in the door making it break. I picked up the shiny metal, and I sat in the floor lighting the joint and taking deep puffs and made a deep cut. I watched blood bubbles pop and flow to the tiled floor.
I made three more long deep cuts and sat back. I watched as I bled out. I could bleed to death this way but who cares. My mom was dead and I didn't deserve to live. I got a text from Gee.
'Hey babe where u @?'
'My house'
'Why? I need to ask you something.'
'Come over I'll explain everything'
I tried to stand up but I passed out. I heard Gee walk in. "Frank?" I heard him call. I heard foot steps and a sharp gasp cut the air. "Frankie what happened?"
Gee ran over picked me up in his arms and held me. He sat on the toilet holding me like a baby. I felt his hot tears hitting my face. "Gee... Please don't cry."
I opened my eyes and seen him crying. "Frankie what happened?" Gee choked out hugging my body tight. I started to cry. "My mom just died with cancer, and she didn't tell me she was sick." I slowly got off gee and grabbed the razor.
His eyes got big and grabbed it away from me. It cut his hand, but just a scratch. I picked up the unfinished joint and Gee looked down at his feet. It had been put out by the blood. I wiped it off and pulled out my lighter.
I took a few puffs and the click of the lighter made Gerard flinch. "Frankie... No." Gerard sniffed. He put his hand out for it. I looked at the joint then his hand. I sighed and stubbed it out on the tile floor then putting it in Gee's hand. He put the razor and joint in his pocket.
I sat on my knees in a few small drips of my blood on the floor. I stared at my arms. I couldn't believe she was gone. "Mama..." I dryly huffed out. Gerard helped me up and hugged me.
He pulled my shirt and jeans off. He put them on the sink and turned on the shower. "Get in." He ordered me. I looked at him with red puffy eyes. Gerard gestured toward the shower.
I nodded and stepped in. The water stung the cuts. I yelped when I first got in feeling tones of pain hit my arms. I heard Gerard leave. He took my bloody clothes with him. I sat in the shower and watched as blood flown from my body and out of my hair to the drain. I was covered in the crimson liquid.
Minutes later I heard Gee open the door and say "Here's some clean clothes babe." And he stepped out. I just sat in the shower until the hot water turned off, and I couldn't bare the cold.
