Ruthvika's POV
"Wake up, wake up, wake up.... It's a brand new day... ", my alarm's ringtone woke me up from my beauty sleep. I quickly glanced at the clock to see it's 7.00 a.m. so, I hurried into the bathroom, brushed, did all my morning duties, took bath and rushed back again. I went inside my walk in closet, picked out my dark blue jeans, white halter neck top and Put it on. By that time, it was 7.20.. So I technically had 10 more minutes to start. So, I brushed my hair and let it flow freely over my shoulders and also put on my favorite Fossil watch on.
I strolled downstairs, ate chocos and sandwich that my mom made before she made her way to hospital. It's a routine that I don't see my parents every morning. I can't blame them. They are doctors after all. But inspite of their busy schedule, they try to spend their time with me and my mom never fails to pack my lunch before leaving every day.
Anyways, I took my bag, locked the door and rushed to my car. In 20 minutes, I reached the college. I went to my class and took my usual seat. Soon, the class started filling in with people. Of course, Hera gave her dramatic appearance with her minions Shari and Lekha. They all crowded around me to mock me.
"So, the loser came empty handed again yesterday! For the 96th time...", Hera said dramatically to which her minions laughed sarcastically. They tried to intimidate me with their looks and talks. If its some other day, I might have bended according to their wish. But after yesterday, I feel a little more confident. After all, it was me that Anirudh chose to duet with him. After all, it was me that he said 'beautiful name to a beautiful girl' to. After all, it was me that he starred at in the eye.(okay ~~ even if I'm hallucinating, that doesn't matter). After all, it was me that he took 3 selfies with. So, I decided to voice out this time instead of staying mum.
"I don't think so... After all the singing, talking and selfies with him, I cannot say that I came empty handed... Obviously, much to your despise... I'm really really sorry to burst your bubble Hera honey...", I replied in her own dramatic tone too.
"What do you mean?? You are completely lying..." , she screamed.
"Oh dear!! Just see this pic", I told her with what I thought to be a evil laughter and showed her the selfie in my mobile. You must have saw her face. So comical she looked, her face filled with rage. If the pic is in print format, she must have tore it. Angrily, she walked away, obviously to my relief. Thank God! For next few days, I need not have to deal with her.
Then, the day went by in a rush. It seemed good after a long time. As soon as the last hour is over, I rushed home in my Audi. In home, I was met with my nagging, eager and curious best friend.
"Finally... You took forever to come home....", Shweta attacked me with a hug and grinned like a Cheshire cat as soon as I put my foot inside my room.
"What got you all grinning?! Tell me, tell me , tell me... Something is up!... Who is the guy?!", I teased her wiggling my eyebrows.
"Ahhhh... You are seriously insane gurl!! Just checkout your twitter and Instagram already... So I can go of course... ", she said with a fake frown. I just shook my head in 'this girl is crazy' way and checked out my accounts anyways.
That's when the shock of my life awaited me. "Ahhhhhh", I screamed in surprise, making Shwe close her ears.
"Anirudh Ravichander liked, retweeted and favorited my pic in both Insta and twitter...", I yelled jumping up and down, still not recovering from the shock.
"Yeah yeah.. I saw.. That's why I told you to check... But I seriously wish you were mute at this moment Vika", Shwe said glaring at me and trying to be serious to which I just laughed, making her smile too. After hugging me, she went to her own house to get changed.
