Anirudh's POV

Here I'm, sitting with my best friends in an Italian restaurant called 'Salt' and having my brunch. Our talk was interrupted by a message in my phone. When I checked it out, I saw that it was from Vika.

'Hey... Reached ?!', it said.

Shit! I forgot to inform her completely... I'm doomed... We made plans to meet... Shit!! How can I forget?

Quickly, I called her without giving second thoughts. But Aksh being Aksh , snatched my phone and put the call in speaker despite all my protests. I muttered a quiet 'my grief is your enjoyment... Remind me again, why am I friends with you all...' to which they laughed in unison. When Vika's voice was heard in the other side, they all stopped laughing. I'm suddenly too nervous. What if she didn't take it well and think that I stood her up?! But, its my fault.. So I have to handle it...

"Hey Vika! Before you say anything , hear me out... I'm so sorry... Its not my intention to ditch you at last minute... I know that we made plans for this afternoon... I'm so sorry... Its just that, when I came out of the airport, I saw all my friends waiting for me.... Without giving me a chance to talk , they dragged me to Salt... In between all this talk and fun, our meeting completely slipped out of my mind... I'm so sorry... Please don't take it like I'm not into this relationship... Because I'm... Its just...", before I can continue with my prattle, her voice cut me out.

"Hey... Breath, okay?! It's completely fine... You can't hang out only with me all the time... You need to spend time with your friends too... I can completely understand... Now stop your blabbering and enjoy with your friends... Try out Tiramisu for me too... And tell Aksh that I said Hi! Okay?! ", she said on the other side completely relaxed and calm. That was when I let out the breath I was holding. Hearing that, she laughed. My whole panicked state dissolved and I smiled.

"Thank you so much and I'm so sorry... It won't happen again... BTW, were you waiting for me in Costa?! ", I asked, feeling guilty.

"Yeah.. I'm still in Costa.. ", she answered calmly.

"You know what! I'll come there now... Wait for 10 minutes...", I replied.

"No... You enjoy with your friends... Spend some time with them.. We will meet later... Now, go enjoy... I'll enjoy my Chocolatte now... Bubye...", she said in a happy tone. With a 'bye' , I cut the call and faced my friends. Lemme tell you this. Everyone's face looked priceless. It was a perfect Kodak moment. Their expressions were like they saw a white crow or a pink tiger.

"What?!", I asked them finally.

"Lemme get this straight... You and Vika made plans to go out today afternoon after your return... But you came out with us, technically ditching her and stood her up... Yeah?", Rakshan inquired seriously.

"Yeah... But, in my defense, you guys dragged me... And I did not DITCH her or stood her up purposely... ", I countered.

"Yeah yeah, whatever! Coming to the matter in hand... Even then, she is not angry with you or called you names for ditching or worse, break up with you!", Rakshan said in wonder.

"She even told you that she completely understood the situation and told you to enjoy your time with us... ", Gaurav continued.

"And she even told me hi", Aksh exclaimed in between.
